I joined this forum to try to find out the name to a British Sitcom I had seen in the past and can not now identify the name of.

Here is a sketch of the storyline: A middleaged man and wife have a few older children who are about to leave the home to live their own adult lives. The children leave and come back again as they have their various problems. The father is anxious for them all to leave but it never quite happens. I think that Daniel Hill is one of the sons.

Leave me a message if you can identify the program. Thanks

Could you be thinking of No Place Like Home (http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/guide/articles/n/noplacelikehome_1299002338.shtml)?

Thanks for identifying the program for me.

The BBC sitcom page had a picture of the neighbor Michael Sharvell-Martin which threw me off. I expected to see William Gaunt instead.

I think that Daniel Hill is one of the sons.
He was Raymond, a son-in-law. There was a running joke about him being a traffic warden. This is a show that's been almost forgotten, which is odd when you consider how many careers it launched, and how many already established people starred in it. I guess it's seen as old-fashioned, in a similar mould to Terry And June.
