I think Roc aired on one of these channels at one point, but I don't think any other show from the smaller 3 networks has. Which shows do you all think might show up on these classic TV channels? Married With Children and the Simpsons have been the most successful comedy type shows on any of these networks but the former might be considered too bawdy. I could see 7th Heaven eventually turning up on one these channels though.

I think in about 5 years Married With Children would be good on N@N. It's got the same kind of quality to it that Roseanne has(that's not a bash :) )

I disagree, Roseanne had much better writing than MWC.


But anyways, The Simpsons will most likely never make it to N@N or TVLand, at the rate they're going, there will be a Simpsons-Network.

I didn't mean in terms of writing, just the premise of the show is a bit similar to Roseanne in ways.

I think if Simpsons ever makes cable, I'd figure FX would be the perfect home for it.

I really don't see 90210 ending up on TVLAND, I read somewhere that they said they would never air soaps. Besides 90210 will be coming to Soapnet next year :)

Matt Goening says 2009 will be the last season of The Simpsons. He wants to tie Gunsmoke as the longest running scripted series in primetime, which would happen in season 20. He's kind of nice to have an end date now, knowing that were alreadd 75% of the way through.

well, I only watch the sitcom reruns on FOX, WB, and UPN and I think that "Frasier" and "Friends" will air on N@N, probably in a couple years.

The only drama I watch on there is "Star Trek: Enterprise".

They've already announced that they'll be showing "Home Improvement" and "Mad About You".

I think N@N has enough since not to show brainless crap like friends.

Basically they'd be nuts not to air Friends and Frasier at some point, I mean they were two of the biggest sitcoms of the 90's, and would probably draw in big ratings for N@N

Yep I can see TBS holding onto Seinfeld for a long time to come. I've always thought M*A*S*H would be great on N@N or TVLAND.

I think M*A*S*H deserves a network that will air in constantly.... and if it came to N@N or TVLand, it would take away from other series.

That's very true, N@N would treat M*A*S*H like they do Roseanne and TCS, which I like M*A*S*H but it would take away from other shows.

Hallmark Channel IMO treats M*A*S*H really good, so they should keep it as long as they can

That's why I think Roseanne airing on Oxygen is a good thing.... it gets all the airtime it can.

The Cosby Show however has gone from every to practically nothing.... totally burned out.

When M*A*S*H was on FX, it was practically the M*A*S*H-Network.

Yep I remember when M*A*S*H was on FX and people complained about it being overplayed like people complain about Roseanne and other shows being overplayed. Yeah Roseanne's on alot more on Oxygen, more than it is on N@N.

TCS I agree with you about, They played it so much the last two and a half years, they've probably used up alot of the airplays allowed for each episode, which will happen with Roseanne and Fresh Prince in about two years or so.
