on october 11 1975 nbc started a show that like it or dislike it has become a part of tv history saturday night live george carlin was the first host janis ian and billy preston were the first musical guests and as much as a part of life the show is now the first show wasant very good except for andy kuaffman and chevy chase but as time went on the show got better and better and now i dont think to any snl fan it would really be sat. if snl wasant on so happy birthday snl and heres to another 29 years of making us laugh

Oct. 11th, right? Wooo! Very true, what would Saturday Nights be without it? It's had its up and downs, but it's, imo, the best show of all time. Congrats, SNL!!! party:

SNL first guest was Andy Kaufman doing his famous Mighty Mouse inpersonation sketch. I saw that part from the movie "Man on the Moon" with Jim Carrey. I have the theme song from the CD "Toon Tunes". The Mighty Mouse theme is located at song #4 on that CD. Just like the way that Andy Kaufman did 29 years ago this week.
