Why are only Fred & Lamont in them when some guest stars to me are co-stars(Grady,Esther,Julio,etc.)?

Because Grady, Esther, and Julio were only seen every once in a while on the show so that's why it was no point in having them in the opening credits. Fred and Lamont was in every single episode

Another question concerning the credits. Was lamont driving ona actual street or a lot. The ending as he droved up and waved at Fred looked like a studio lot.

I read that the storefront Fred was sitting at reading his newspaper was a real Pawn Shop in the early 1970s, so it must have been a real street/alley Lamont pulled into. Someone else might have more info on it though.

That's right, and it was very ODD that both Fred and Lamont was not in that episode. Only Rollo and Grady-lol
