Throughout the years there have been MANY shows I'ved tried taping every episode of.

Batman (1960's) - This was the first show I ever taped. The Family Channel reran this show in 1989. I was in the first grade and had learned how to use the VCR just to tape this series. The channel aired it completely out of order but I got around 40-50 episodes. The tapes have since been destroyed. The VCR I used was a piece of crap. None of the shows I taped on there exsist today. :(

I Love Lucy - In 1995, on N@N. I decided to use the best setting for this show. That meant I could only fit five episodes on a tape. After around 70 episodes, I quit. I didn't have much patience back then, which is one of the main reasons I didn't complete a lot of shows. However, I did get back into the Lucy mood and picked it back up. In the end, I got every episode except for 1. It was the episode where Lucy, Ethel and Fred go to the Country house to break the deal, however realize what a great house it is. N@N had skipped that episode for every cycle after I tried taping the show. Finally when I Love Lucy came to TV Land, I got the episode on tape. But my Lucy collection really didn't stand the test of time. Luckily I have the first two seasons on DVD. My new Lucy collection has begun.

Space Cases - I taped all 26 episodes of this Nickelodeon show in it's original run. Some episodes I taped on the crappy VCR and others I taped in my bedroom VCR.

Taxi - In December of 1996, I began taping Taxi off of N@N. It quickly became a favorite of mine and I have happy memories watching the show during the day. However, I only got around the first 50 something episodes before quitting. Later on, I started up again and managed to get some of the episodes throughout the later episodes. All in all I have about every episode minus a few from the 50s thru 60s. However, my old VCR was used and now I can't watch the tapes anymore. Luckily the first season is coming to DVD. So I'm restarting my collection.

Happy Days - I think it was 1997 when the show came to N@N. I began taping when N@N first showed it. I got up till about a little before the fourth season. Then I found out N@N had skipped a few episodes throughout the first three years, so I gave up. I also found out that N@N just aired the Richie episodes. That later changed. I also went back to taping, but still never got much more. I later retaped off of TV Land. I have a lot from the last season. And all of the first three seasons again, before giving up. The first season is now on DVD and in my new collection.

The Odd Couple - I tried taping it off of N@N, but never got very far. Later when it went to TV Land I got all but the last eight episodes. Recently, I bought some tapes off of Ebay.

Quantum Leap Not sure what year, but it was around the late nineties. I got to around the beginning of season 4. Now I have the first season on DVD.

George & Leo - The Bob Newhart/Judd Hirsch sitcom on CBS. I taped all 22 episodes. It was, however taped off of the bad VCR and is unwatchable today. Damm that old VCR!

Ellen - When Lifetime began airing Ellen in the fall of 1998, I started to like the show. I waited for the second cycle to come around and then I started taping the show. I actually got pretty far. Actually I believe it was the first three seasons and some of the fourth. The tapes were made off of the old VCR so I can't watch them today. However, I did retape the first two seasons before Lifetime quit showing Ellen. Now I own the first season on DVD and the second is coming in February.

NewsRadio - My sister had taped the first two seasons off of NBC. That's where I became a fan of the show. When it came to syndiation in 1998, I had never seen the third or fourth seasons before. It was right after Phil Hartman's death. I got back into the show and started taping the reruns. I got every episode from the first four seasons. I even taped some of the fifth season on NBC. Eventually, the syndicate started airing the fifth season as well. I got every episode. Then it left the syndicate. In 2000, NewsRadio came to A&E and I retaped it since there would be a lot of scenes MVC (my syndicate) cut out. I got every episode on tape from A&E. Pretty soon, the first and second seasons are coming to DVD and in my collection.

X-Men: Evolution - I taped this show in it's original run. I got the first two seasons complete. Then I taped the first half of season 3. I only got the very last episode of season 4. However I heard they plan on releasing every episode within the next couple years on DVD.

Boy Meets World - When Disney started airing it, I started taping. They started with the third season and I got about half of that season. It was a bumpy ride and I only got a few episodes from each season. Disney's editing got on my nerves that I quit taping all together. Once it went to ABC Family, I had already decided to just buy the DVDs. I now have the first season on DVD.

The Brady Bunch - My younger sister started taping the show off of N@N. I found myself watching her tapes more than she did. So I started taping it myself. I got the first 3 seasons, before quitting for reasons I can't remember.

Night Court - When it was on A&E I decided to tape it. I only got the first two seasons before giving up. I still like the series and will buy it if it comes to DVD.

Two of a Kind - That's right. I don't think I got all 22 episodes, but I certainly had the chance. I just never fully got into the show enough to get all 22.

Wings - In the Summer of 2000, I began watching and taping Wings off of USAM. I got the first six seasons with a few from season seven. Wings became my second favorite sitcom of all-time. When USA quit showing it, I didn't have every episode. For a year I avoided my tapes. If I don't have every episode it gets too painful to watch the tapes knowing that my collection isn't complete. When N@N started airing it, I started taping again. I still don't have every episode. However, I've given up on taping it. I'm hoping that it will come to DVD one day.

Sliders - I taped every episode off of the Sci-Fi Channel in 2000. Then I accidentally taped over my last tape. I just recently was able to retape the last episodes earlier this year. Now I own the first two seasons on DVD.

Cheers - When N@N started airing it I tried taping every episode. I got up till half way through the fourth season before quitting. During "Camp N@N" I got the entire last season on tape. I went back finished the fourth, fifth and sixth seasons. I got a few from the seventh and all of the eighth. Then I quit taping it again. Now I have the first three seasons on DVD.

Gilligan's Island - On N@N I only got the first six episodes before giving up. Now I own the first season on DVD.

Family Matters - I taped like the first twelve episodes off of TBS. I just quit for reasons unremembered.

Chico and the Man - I taped about 84 of the 88 episodes off of TV Land. There was one episode that TV Land just skipped. That was part of their last cycle, so I never got a chance to tape it. However, I went to Ebay and purchased the rest of the episodes I missed.

Step by Step - When ABC Family, or I believe it was FOX Family at the time, I taped the first like 13 episodes. Plus the first 12 episodes from season 4. Then I gave up on it.

Thieves - This ABC show only lasted around 6-7 episodes. I taped all the aired episodes.

The Tick - I taped all 8 of the 9 episodes FOX aired. Luckily, all nine episodes are now on DVD.

Andy Richter Controls the Universe - I taped all 14 aired episodes on FOX. There are still 5 unaired episodes. I hope the entire series will come to DVD soon.

8 Simple Rules - In it's original run, I taped the first ten episodes. I still plan on either taping it in syndication or buy the DVD if it ever comes.

Less Than Perfect - The exact same story as with 8 Simple Rules. I will tape it in syndication or buy it on DVD.

Perfect Strangers - When TV Land showed it as part of their Kitchen, I taped all the episodes they aired. However, they didn't show every episode so it screwed me up. I then went to Ebay and purchased every episode.

I'll continue making my list and editing this first post. First, however I want to post this thread.

Sabrina, the Teenage Witch-I always watched the show but I really got into it during season 4. I have season 5, seaosn 6 and season 7 on tape.

That's So Raven- I have every episode to date of it on tape

Not very many. I have many pilot episodes of shows, starting in 1999 or 2000, when I started paying much more attention to currrent broadcast television. Mostly I just tape shows I think are going to be short-lived, although sometimes I am mistaken.

first years - sadly, I actually only managed to get the first of three episodes taped
Freedom - missed a few
Mister Sterling - got 'em all
Charlie Lawrence - got 'em all
Keen Eddie - got 'em all, and I am glad I did. Despite a DVD release, the DVD episodes do not have the original broadcast music
Jake 2.0 - got 'em all
Summerland - have the first summer season, but I was less than impressed witih the show and incredibly surprised to see it get picked up for another bunch of episodes

I also taped the first season of Joan of Arcadia, simply because I found the premise so interesting. I also taped the first two seasons of American Dreams for the same reason, although I bet I will buy American Dreams on DVD and probably Joan of Arcadia as well, should it ever be released on DVD. Both are quality television.

Boy Meets World all my tapes are from Disney :rolleyes: (like you Disney's editing gets on my nerves)

Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, I started taping off of TBS last year, and I'm still pissed they took off the show before I could finish taping it :livid:

Wings I was taping, but then gave up because of N@N, but when they start all over again, I'm gonna start taping it again.

I am now taping Who's the Boss? off N@N, I haven't missed an episode yet :D

I am now taping Bosom Buddies off of TBS too

I was thinking of taping every episode of Cheers.... but the First Season was announced before N@N got back to Season 1.


I take that back, I do have every episode of The Brady Brides on tape. (its better than the original series)

SOAP have every episode of - kinda unimportant now that its coming out on dvd

Happy Days have around 210 of 255 episodes, gave up about a year ago

Bosom Buddies have about 2 dozen eps, gave up long ago

the only things i tape now are specialsand whatnot

ive been taping snl every saturday night since the spring of 89 and i also was i big fan of good morning miami so i have most eps. of the show

Im currently trying to tape every single episode of Whos the Boss?. I had a few episodes taped over from when it was on ABC Family, but im just recording over them cause ABC Family butchered it anyways

I used to have like 180 episodes of Full House, but ive mostly taped over them with Whos the Boss?

I was gonna tape BMW, but the DVDs are coming out rather quickly, so i decided not to.

If I'm able to get enough tapes (rougly four or five), I'll be trying to tape all of this season's Desperate Housewives, and if I'm lucky, every season following.

Family Matters. I actually did have them all at one time(15 or 16 tapes).

Unsolved Mysteries, but it's a lost cause when Lifetime is only showing certain episodes. :wallbang

Roseanne(although I've lost interest in the show quite a bit now), probably just temporary because I was watching too much of it back in the Spring.

Did you know Bosom Buddies is airing on TBS now? Saturday mornings at 6 and 6:30 :) I've been taping them, they just started airing it last week :)

The Mary Tyler Moore Show - Thanks to TV Land and N@N, I managed to get them. But I got rid of all my first season tapes when it came out on DVD. If the second season is released in 05 like Fox is planning, I'll do the same with those episodes.

OMG are you serious!? I now have something to watch on Saturday mornings! Even if I have to timer record, I'm happy that its back. I haven't seen it since Oxygen aired a marathon of it earlier this year (I want to say Feb or March...)

Kewl! I watched it when it aired on TBS last year! My favorite episode is definatly the one where everyone concocts a plan to humiliate Amy's date who stood her up (or something like that).

Mama's Family - I have all 130 episodes on tape now. TBS only airs 129 of them, so I had to get the 130th from somebody else. There are five episodes that have never aired on broadcast TV, and I hope they put all the eps on DVD when they eventually release the whole series. :D

Trading Spaces Family - I got all the eps they've showed so far this season, plus about 1/3 of the first season. :D

I remember Paramount said something about a DVD coming when Laverne & Shirley and Happy Days were first announced.... but nothing since.

I have every 170 episodes of Barney Miller, and I also have every episode of Sanford and Son, which is now completely irrelevant since the 6th and final season of the show is going to be released on DVD in January 2005...

Taping I Love Lucy was my first big taping project. I read that it was being moved from N@N to TvLand and I totally freaked because at the time TvLand wasn't available here. I got up every morning to tape it on N@N w/o commercials. Of course, by the time I got all the episodes on tape we got TvLand and then the DVDs came out.

Yeah, quite a few, but now pretty much every show I've attempted to tape, or want to tape, are coming out on DVD so I just don't bother. From about Feb. 2002 through 2003 I was pretty adamant about taping a LOT of shows. Now though, DVDs are coming out left and right so I just don't waste the time.

I did try to tape every episode of so many shows: Get Smart, I Love Lucy, Mary Tyler Moore (I do actually have nearly every episode except from S1 which I didn't tape because I had just gotten it on DVD), LA Law, Dallas, Knots Landing, Batman (have nearly all of them except 10), The Brady Bunch, Wings (taped a good portion of them) - there are also many more.

Of course I tape, or used to tape, a lot of current shows such as 8 Simple Rules, Less Than Perfect, Life with Bonnie (stupid ABC), Desperate Housewives (I am absolutely keeping this on tape just in case), American Dreams, Gilmore Girls, Smallville, 7th Heaven, Reba, Las Vegas, Survivor, Apprentice, and a few others.

I mean, Reba's coming out on DVD, Las Vegas is, Apprentice is, 7th Heaven is, Smallville is already out, American Dreams, Gilmore Girls, so, it's almost like, why bother taping htem?

I do kinda worry about not taping the current seasons of 8 Simple Rules and Less Than Perfect. Hopefully they come out on DVD or are syndicated next year or at least last a 4th season to GET syndicated. I just TiVo them and delete them afterwards.

During the summer I tried to record all of several series.
I tried to tape all of Cosby, I got a good handful of episodes.

I tried to get all of the Roseanne season one episode, again I got a handful of episodes.

Step by Step I got all of season one, then school started and I got behind. Same with Family Matters (all, but one ep. of season one).

I started recording Life with Bonnie (on the last episode...lol).

I'm recording season four of Reba.

Right now, The Cosby Show is in syndication so I'm recording it now. Same with Cheers (or at least I'm trying to...lol).

Also, I'm getting all of the new Pax shows (and old originals).

As you can tell I've tried to record a lot of shows (but unsuccessfully...LOL), however right now with The Cosby Show, I'm doing well.

I started taping Facts Of Life on Nick At Nite, but only got about 8 episodes before Nick yanked it (should've started earlier)

most of the time, I used to just "Deal" in the past, but now with TV-DVD's, I see less an issue with taping shows I love considering many of them are coming out on DVD. There's still a few "when the hell is this coming out?" holdovers like Facts Of Life and Ally McBeal which I'd tape if reruns came back on tv, but for the most part, I can handle waiting a bit.

I too, tried taping Roseanne off N@N, but I pretty much gave up after season 4 (even tho 5 and 6 were my fave seasons) because it's not like Roseanne's going to stop airing for some time

I also taped quite a bit of Ellen when Lifetime had it back in the winter, I got some of season 2, about 75% of season 3 and almost all of season 4, 3 and 4 are my fave seasons so those were higher priorities to make sure to tape than season 2 was.

I tried to tape "Eve" from when it started out last season, and i missed a lot of episodes, this season i said i wall have ALL season 2 episodes..and i just missed the third episode last week:lol:

Three's Company - I have most of all 8 seasons on tape. Before it came on DVD, I had seasons 4-8 all on tape, but lacked the first three seasons. When Seasons 1-2 (3's about to come out), came out, I decided to buy it, instead of taping it.

American Idol - All except season 1

8 Simple Rules - I tried taping season 2, but I couldn't. However, I did tape season 1, and I'm beginning to tape season 3.

Full House - When it came on N@N, I wanted to tape it. I only taped it for the first 2 weeks. Then eventually I found out it was going to be on ABC Family, then quit. (Since I would be able to see it most times of the day)

The majority of the shows that I taped came from TV Land, I taped most of the shows that TV Land aired that were part of the WB and Screen Gems deals; (Sqaure Pegs, Hazel, Perfect Strangers, etc.) I've also taped a few shows that aired as a part of the TV Land Kitschen. (Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman, Tabitha, Welcome Back, Kotter, Shazam, My Favorite Martian, etc.) and other rarities from the TV Land Box Sets (Bridget Loves Bernie, Finder of Lost Loves, She's the Sheriff, Gloria, etc.) Batman, The Adventures of Superman, SOAP and Archie Bunker's Place were some other shows that I taped off TV Land. Other than that I've taped Bosom Buddies (the first time is aired on TBS) and The Facts of Life (back when it was Hallmark.)

All that I tape now are the documentries and originals running on TV Land and other specials. I don't really tape that much anymore because many shows that I like are ending up on DVD.

And now I want to have every episode of 7th Heaven taped....and Boy Meets World.

would you beleive that I tried to tape every single episode of MASH back in the 80s, when it just ended its run on CBS, and a few years later a local station was showing every episode, in order, for the shows 25th anniversary.

That's right, I tried to record all 11 seasons! (obviously, I wasn't able to!)

I used to be completly nuts about it back then!:lol: :lol: :lol:

For me... I tape a lot of random episodes of stuff... But I've tried to tape the whole series of:

-Step by Step (I've got every episode but the Christmas ones and some episode from season 5 because the power went out...)
-Full House (Ok... I tried and then gave up almost right away with this... I have a lot of season 1, 2, and 8 stuff though)
-Boy Meets World (Again... I don't have the money to but a ton of tapes or the patiance to tape that much. I have mostly season 2 episodes with some from 1 and the Disney epsiode (from season 3 I think)
-Quintuplets (Ok... I don't know if you ment all shows that have ended.... but so far I'm trying to get every episode of this show (I need the 1st, 2nd, and some other episode to have all of them so far.
-Phil of the Future (same thing with Quintuplets... I've got some of the epsiode. All of the ones from the first day they aired on Disney.

plus... I've got a lot of almost compleated cartoons taped (Spongebob, Fairly Oddparents (even though it's not ended yet), My Life as a Teenage Robot, Kids Next Door, Brandy & Mr. Whiskers, Lilo & Stitch the series...) Yeah, I love cartoons too...

The Nanny of course,i have nearly every episode,or at least all my favourite episodes on video

Seinfeld-They never stop being funny,no matter how many times you watch them!

My first was Full House. Never did get them all and now they're being taped over.

Then Saved by the Bell. Now they're all on DVD, so they're getting taped over.

Then I Love Lucy. Ditto with SBTB.

Then I Dream of Jeannie. I think at one time I came close, but I'm taping over them now.

Hmm...

Adam-12. I think I'm only lacking maybe 4. TVL took it off before I could complete it.

Route 66. Not from me taping any of them though.

The Incredible Hulk. I'm lacking some in the middle of the run.

The Magician. Do have every one now.

My Favorite Martian. Hopefully seasons 2 & 3 will come out on DVD.

Hogan's Heroes. Have 2 more seasons left and I'll be done.

Family Feud. I am seriously trying to get every episode of the 76-85 run. Over 2000 eps.

Wings. Just started, so I'm missing some of the middle seasons.

Powerpuff Girls.

Futurama. Will be done once I get Vol 4.

I could never be bothered to tape tv shows,but i was intending to tape all the Saved by the bell episodes.
