View Full Version : N@N or TVLand barwars 10-09-2004, 12:41 PM Which do you prefer?? spunkygirl 10-09-2004, 12:51 PM N@N I barely watch TVLAND, cause all the shows I Like are on at sucky times :( EmoJoe 10-09-2004, 12:52 PM Neither really. I guess Nick@Nite cause I watch that more than TV Land. Mike22580 10-09-2004, 05:15 PM Both networks are pretty bad... they both skip episodes and they both shrink back the ending credits to our favorite shows... if i had to choose between either i would have to go with TVLand but it seems like both of them have moved away from classic tv (Donna Reed, Lucy Show, Cannon) into a more modern tv classic line up. CarJackSnyder 10-09-2004, 06:00 PM Nick@Nite ABC1 10-09-2004, 08:39 PM I watch The Addams Family on TV Land, but that's pretty much it. It's no longer my favorite network. Nick has more that I enjoy watching now. The programs that TV Land is going to air, (like Hunter) don't appeal to me at all. :( spunkygirl 10-09-2004, 08:43 PM Originally posted by Mike22580 Both networks are pretty bad... they both skip episodes and they both shrink back the ending credits to our favorite shows... if i had to choose between either i would have to go with TVLand but it seems like both of them have moved away from classic tv (Donna Reed, Lucy Show, Cannon) into a more modern tv classic line up. I think just about every network does that, heck ABC Family with some shows skips the tag scenes all together  Adamantium 10-09-2004, 09:11 PM Originally posted by Angela Micelli I think just about every network does that, heck ABC Family with some shows skips the tag scenes all together  It's different for N@N & TV Land. Both channels act like they care about their shows. Yet they can't even air the ending credits in split screen style. I don't think either channels should have original programming. There are enough classic shows that aren't being aired why in the heck do we need those channels producing shows to air? spunkygirl 10-09-2004, 09:14 PM Originally posted by TVAdam It's different for N@N & TV Land. I haven't seen them do it for WTB or Wings(at least not anymore with Wings) I agree, there's so many more shows they can be airing instead of fatherhood  barwars 10-09-2004, 09:15 PM Originally posted by TVAdam It's different for N@N & TV Land. TVLand Moguls for example.... which was all around perfect. And I'm sure ALF fans love ALF's Hit Talk Show. I don't mind original programming.... if its ABOUT TV. That's part of what TVLand is for. But stuff like Fatherhood and the upcoming Farrah Fawcett series just dont cut it. Adamantium 10-09-2004, 09:18 PM Originally posted by Angela Micelli  What shows do they do split screens with? N@N has way too modern sitcoms. N@N was at its peak in 1998 with The Brady Bunch, Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, and The Wonder Years, but sadly those are gone from that network. In the late 80's when "Make Room for Daddy", "My Three Sons", "The Donna Reed Show", "Mister Ed" and "The Patty Duke Show" aired. But I think it got great again in the Summer of 1995. It remained good until 2000. If not a little sooner. It was the additions of "Gilligan's Island" and "The Beverly Hillbillies" when I officially quit watching N@N. I have only gone back to watch "Wings". I Love Carol Burnett! 10-10-2004, 12:43 PM TV Land Nick at Nite just sucks now Mike22580 10-10-2004, 03:46 PM yeah now they are doing hunter now, which sucked when it was on network tv. and a one time only baywatch come on what is this spike tv or tvland... lol. Tvland when it started in 1996, it had some good strong classic shows, including Cannon, Mannix, That Girl, Adam-12, Dragnet, Emergency, Kojak, Marcus Welby M.D. Donna Reed ... all of which dissappeared and have yet to resurface again. Both networks have gone down hill... i would say nick at nite the most. They get good shows on nick at nite and they air them once in good time slots stick them in the grave yard time and then kill them off.
