Um yah... Answer Man? We have a 10 line text rule.

I'm auditioning this year, I don't even know what it is yet, hah.

Last year, we did Guys and Dolls and I auditioned, but freshmen aren't allowed to be in it. They can try out though, which defeats the purpose.

I don't know what the musical is yet, but I've been in tons of plays. One musical I did when I was 10 was School House Rock, but it wasn't for school.

I can't sing, so I never did the musicals. I did everything else though...except that one, because I was too young. My drama coach was an ass.

I was an angel in the Nativity play when I was 5, if that counts. My first starring role. :D

Then I appeared in various school pageants, always minor parts where I basically just sat around on stage in some kind of costume without saying anything or much at all, usually singing as part of a chorus.

When I was 9 I got a part in Puss In Boots...I think I was a member of the Royal Court or something like that with like, one line and again singing in the chorus. Then the year after that I was cast as an Emerald City person in the Wizard of Oz, with an awful costume and a few lines and the song "The Merry Old Land of Oz" (they should've cast me as a Munchkin seeing as I was shorter than all the other kids)

When I was 15ish I was in a local theatre group and we did a production of Grease...not the full thing because of copyright laws or some junk, but I got cast as Marty which was a lot of fun. After that we were GOING to do Bugsy Malone and I got the part of Bangles but crap happened and after four months of practicing the play was scrapped so I never got to do it.

And that's it! LOL. I've done loads of little concert type things. Every season for about three years I performed in a show that my theatre group put on for a local hotel where we'd just sing stuff from musicals/broadway...that was awesome. My wish has always been to be a broadway star but seeing as I can't dance and can't sing too well and the fact that I'm already 21 there's zero hope of that happening, but it's fun to dream. :)

I think you mentioned this before. I remember you saying the girl who played Molly acted like a real brat. Also you had to pratice barefoot on the hard cement. Do you have any pictures you could post? I love Annie.

I was Cord Elam in Oklahoma

I should mention, I was in 4 plays beside that, none of which were musicals

The plays in chronological order:

12 Dancing Princesses (2nd largest male role)
Heading for the Hills (2nd largest male role)
Oklahoma (relatively small part)
The Medicine Man (star)
Harvey (second largest male role)

The Medicine Man was when I was in 8th grade, so I was the obvious choice, the other years there were older and more experienced people available.

At any rate, drama is one of the few things that I have ever truly been very good at (I dont mean to build myself up), I had a pretty decent time too, I might be in a play in college, if I have nothing better to do.

TOMORROW,TOMORROW,TOMORROW

Sorry folks if I annoyed some of you by asking the three people who were in different Annie plays to post pictures. I just love Annie. My mom was real bad sick on chemo and it was her last
Christmas (at the time we did not know it would be her last)
and she was real excited because she found Annie on Dvd. That was one of my presents from her. I remember that was the last
movie her and I sat and watched together. I love Annie.
offtopic:

I was in Cinderella in first grade it was a musical. I played a guest at the party.

I used to work backstage on our highschool's musicals. But I quit cuz I swear our productions were always cursed:

Fiddler on the Roof - the fiddler fell off the roof.

Lincoln Park Zoo - our lead character's wig fell off half-way through the final scene.

Anything Goes - the robber jumped onto his bunk and it collapsed. Also we had a video recorder to project onstage - it projected upside down.

Nothing But the Truth - our lead actor went to make his entrance and the door was glued shut. He pushed, then kicked, then finally ran around and entered through the audience. The lead actress lost her voice.

Grease - the dancers in the back danced off the ledge and Marty couldn't quit coughing during her song.

Ah, highschool... ;)
