How would you feel if Chrissy was dating a black man? What would your responses be to that? Would you support her of dating out of race or not? Just curious . . .

I am a firm believer that there is absolutely nothing wrong with interracial romance. Therefore I would be supportive.

What the hell is wrong with that!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone who thinks otherwise is a racist hick!!!!! Why would this even an issue with YOU! My best friend is black and I have had black boyfriends, so I'd really like to know why you think that would be wrong and why this is even a post!!!!!!! I think people who are racist, sexist and homophobic are totally stupid!!

Lucyfan!!!! ANYONE!!!!! Can you please tell me what is wrong with that. It makes me sad to think anyone on this board is either racist sexist or homophobic. Lucyfan im not saying that you are any of these things, but Im wondering why you think it would be an issue with anyone unless it would be for you. Im not black but these people in my own opinion have been through so much. I don't mean to say you are any of these things Lucyfan but I am just curious myself why you would care about it.

First of all, this was a question relating to "Three's Company" and the Chrissy character so don't take it personally. Second of all, it wasn't meant to hurt or offend anyone at all none whatsoeever. Third of all, I am not a racist or a sexiest or a homophobic. Fourth of all, I was asking . . . simply because I was curious and wanting to hear some responses on this. AND what is wrong with asking opinions and/or responses of people? If people don't want to give their opinion(s) that's great they don't have to if they don't wanna. This was a post for people who WANT to give their opinions. I am very sorry if I offended anyone of you.

Tcbubblegrl,

There is no need to apologize. I wasn't offended in anyway and I wasn't trying to start anything. I wasn't mad when I was responding to your post but I was simply trying to give an explanation for you. I am sorry if my post offended you but I really didn't mean to cause such a mess of it. I was just wanting opinions on the issue just to learn something new and be open-minded on the subject. Again, am I truly sorry if I offended you in any way, if I did, please forgive me.

LucyFan, why is it that you are always curious about race? Are you some sort of ARCHIE BUNKER? In the words of Sean "I'm the Maude Findlay to your Archie Bunker!"
I would be more harsh, but I'm busy right now:)

I don't think there's anything wrong with it.

I wouldn't care if Chrissy dated a black man as long as she was in love with him and happy. God, if it weren't for interacial couples I wouldn't excist. I'm interacial. But I just date people I am attracted to not people who have the same skin tone as me.

Hey LucyFan, don't worry about the others. They take your thoughts too seriously. You aren't an Archie Bunker type I know. You were merely just curious and there's nothing wrong with that.

I agree! I see no problem with the question Lucyfan raised, but race is a really touchy issue. I noticed that many of the responses began with "what is wrong with that?" Lucyfan didn't say anything was wrong with Chrissy dating a black guy, she just wanted other people's opinion! Personally I see no problem with chrissy dating a black man. Everyone is entitled to date who they want, that's one of the priviledges of living in the U.S. I am just saying that I don't think Lucyfan was wrong for asking what she did. That is what the message boards are for, to discuss your favorite shows and to find out other people's opinions of the show and issues dealt with on the shows.

there is nothing wrong with interracial couples, so it would not bother me if she dated a black man or a guy from any other race.

You obviously don't know that LucyFan said he thinks all blacks are ugly.

I know what you mean. Some people get easily offensive and began to assume, accuse, curse, as well as call unnecessarily names when all that is not needed.

I noticed that many of the responses began with "what is wrong with that?" Lucyfan didn't say anything was wrong with Chrissy dating a black guy, she just wanted other people's opinion! Thank you for clearing that up. I appreciate it!

I never knew it would turn to be such a big fuss. This was one of my original posts concerning race and I must say I have learned a lot on how people react so quickly to the topic as well as negatively. I wasn't trying to start anything at all except I wanted to see other people's opinions on the issue. And to seek for opinions of others is not wrong, it is a learning process.

That is what the message boards are for, to discuss your favorite shows and to find out other people's opinions of the show and issues dealt with on the shows. I agree with you totally.

Why does everyoen have to mention that in every thread LucyFan posts in? I'm getting sick about always seeing topics he starts turns into fights even if they're unrelated....

Well, Sean, I guess you're right. But isn't it pretty strange that he never shared his opinion on the Black Man with Chrissy? And why did he pick Chrissy? Why couldn't have been Jack and a black woman? Janet and a black guy? Is it because....CHRISSY HAS BLONDE HAIR AND BLUE EYES?!?!?!? erm...sorry....

If Lucyfan shares his opinion it will either turn into a fight, or everyone will twist his words around like they have done in the past.....

In #62 "Chrissy's Hospitality", one of Chrissy's nurses was African American. In #102 "Jack Bares All" (Part One), Jack is told by an African American doctor that he needs a tetnus shot. Other then that I don't remember any. Sometimes there were African American extras in parties in the apartment and in the Regal Beagle.

I wouldn't support her because she isn't doing anything corageous. I don't think someone not being racist is something that should be rewarded, I think it should be expected.

Don't take this the wrong way, I have no problem with interracial relationships.

also on that episode with mr. roper and jack in bed episode. there was 2 black people during the party scene.
- some how i cant picture chrissy with a black man, unless maybe he was the rich type and was wearing a blue suit jacket and had a moustasch.
