This is only Wednesday, and already this has been a BAD week for educators in Texas. As far as I know, so far only one of these stories have been on the news (though I expect the others to follow shortly).
I know these are all true because I have family members working at all of these districts.
Sometime this week (I don't remember the day) a teacher from was fired and then arrested for "Indecency with a minor".
Monday, several teachers were fired for fraud/theft dealing with school grants.
Tuesday, after a theft of money was reported to a teacher in a particular class, the teacher called the police b/c there had been several theft occurrances in that class and they were finally fed up. After checking the kid's pockets and back packs, the police ordered ALL OF THE STUDENTS TO BE STRIPPED SEARCHED! Gotta tell ya, the principal has gotten SEVERAL phone calls from irate parents. I'm expecting law suits to be filed in the next few weeks.
