Here in england a new channel called "ABC1" (The english version of ABC in the US) recently launched and they started to show Ellen from season 3. I've noticed in a few episodes ellen comes on after the teaser and keeps saying why there is no titles.

Last fridays episode she came on holding a pocket watch and moving it like a hyopnotist would and she said something like "You will now see the opening credits for tonights show, you will tell your friends how great they are when you see them tomorrow"

I thought this was a funny gag, but how long did the "No-titles" gag last through out series 3?.

in season 3, she had the no titles gag. In season 4, she usually had a special guest in the opening of the episode, usually musicians or performance artists. It's been a really long time since I've seen season 5, but I believe that was similar to season 4.

The finale of Season 3 had Ellen announcing that the theme song was finally ready. They played it and it was a purposely generic sitcom theme song. It was, to me anyways, hilarious. I'm with BuffySlayer79 on not knowing about season 5.

I saw the season 3 finale today and i thought it was a good episode!. Was it me or was the opening titles for that episode a rip-off of the 'friends' credits because of the couch scene and them holding umbrella's under the eElen logo?

I liked Ellen's singing in this episode too!.
