Those were the days for my favorite sitcoms. Back in the fall of 1998, Lifetime started airing reruns of "Ellen". I fell in love with that show and tried taping every episode. Also in the fall of 1998, "NewsRadio" went into syndication. I'd spend my days watching my Ellen and NewsRadio tapes as well as watch them on their channels. Plus, NewsRadio was still in it's original run. So I'd watch the reruns in the daytime and on Tuesday nights I'd tune into NBC for a new episode. I also watched - on ABC - the TGIF lineup with one of my favorites, "Boy Meets World."

Once I graduated Highschool in 2000, I became a fan of USAM. I especially enjoyed watching "Wings" at 11 am. I also watched "Night Court" on A&E. Around that time, "NewsRadio" moved to A&E. Later that year, "Boy Meets World" came to the Disney Channel. Back then there was always something on. "Chico and the Man" came to TV Land and it became one of my favorites. TV Land also showed "The Odd Couple."

Then one day it was all gone. Lifetime stopped showing "Ellen". A&E stopped showing "NewsRadio" and "Night Court". USA stopped showing "Wings" and the rest of their USAM lineup. TV Land stopped showing "Chico and the Man" and "The Odd Couple."

"Ellen" is now on DVD and back in reruns (Oxygen). "Boy Meets World" is on DVD and ABC Family. "NewsRadio" is coming to DVD. "Wings" is on a crappy timeslot on N@N.

I still miss the days when those shows were very important to my life. They helped get me through highschool and the first couple years afterwards.

I used to watch/tape Jesse on USAM; those were good days.

As an aside, when I first read the title to this thread I thought it said "1988-2001" and I was trying to figure out how that range of dates could relate to sitcoms so specifically...

I missed those shows on local TV. WPIX usually aired these shows like "Full House", "Saved By the Bell", "Growing Pains", "Charles in Charge" and "The Hogan Family". It was my favorite channel before WB launched almost 10 years ago along other shows that I missed on WWOR are "227", "Amen" and those other shows.:( Those are my good old days of watching TV.
