I came home from work today and I am watching the movie that it is on my DVR that I set up this morning. It was on Turner Classic Movies this morning. It was called "The Jazz Singer" with Al Jolson. It was the first movie ever to be synchronized with sound and it was from about 1927. That ended the era of all silent films from the early to mid-20's. The talking pictures are just the beginning. When I was a youngster, I used to watch it on channel 13 back in 1990. The movie was remade in the 80's with Neil Diamond. I have the 80's remake of "The Jazz Singer". I recording it onto a DVD. Any questions about this movie that it was on this morning?
