What was the first TV Show to be released in a season set on dvd?

Correct me if I'm wrong, cause I very well could be, but wasn't the X-Files the first show to get it's first season on DVD?

According to the tvshowsondvd.com release schedule, the HBO animated series "Spawn" was released in November 1997, (six episodes) which was a full season for that show. It said Volume 1 though, not Season 1. A year later, Nov. '98 volume 2 (6 episodes) was released and volume 3 came out in October 1999.

Season sets as we know them today: X Files season 1 came out May 9, 2000 with Sex & The City season 1 coming out two weeks later.
