Here in Dayton, Ohio, regular unleaded climbed to $2.059 per gallon everywhere. That is, however, eight cents cheaper than it was May 20.

Is anyone else lucky to have it less than two bucks a gallon?

In my town it ranges from $2.01 to $2.09. I'd ride my bike to work if it wasn't for all the road construction.

Is anyone else lucky to have it less than two bucks a gallon? on one local tv news feature in Dayton they were interviewing some gas station manager about the gas prices. He blamed this spike on "supply and demand pressures due to the hurricanes in Florida"

It was 1.89 - 1.99 around here, the last time I checked. Diesel was higher than unleaded the last time I looked, and I was shocked because diesel here is ALWAYS cheaper than unleaded.

I remember about 3 years ago when gas was $0.97 - 1.07. I can't remember if that was pre- or post-9/11.

Yeah, and there's still just as much traffic on the road, if not more. Whenever I see somebody driving a hummer or a huge SUV, I can't help but chuckle. Hey, if you want to spend $30-40 to fill your tank, by all means.

Reg unleaded here in Central Fla. is averaging $1.90. I'm so glad i don't drive my vehicle alot.

Prices around here start from $1.75 - $1.85, depending on where you are in the metro area. I need a 91 octane for my van, so I tank at $2.05 a gallon. But that's cheap compared to $2.25 at the Shell...

Nope.

The no-ethanol added stuff is always 4 cents higher than the 10% ethanol. I hate going down to Missouri and having to buy gas...they don't have ethanol.
