K, here's the thing. I've been downloading music for four years off of my university ethernet. This year when I signed on there was a new message saying that anyone caught doing illegal downloading will be expelled. There's thousands of students on campus, and I know I'm not the only one doing it. My question is, should I just stop now, or are they bluffing? Can they really find out? I'm on Winmx, which I believe is pretty obscure. I don't want to stop, cuz I am flat broke and don't have any other means of getting music...

i would stop for a while. then go back in about a month.

it's not. Ethernet is the only connection I have. I guess I can just wait till I get home in Pennsylvania in December, but they're dial up and it takes forever :rolleyes:

get a job. save your money. get dsl. then you can download.

I know you're right. I've only got two more months left before I graduate - it ain't worth it. Besides, I've already got the songs I was really after.

Just wait it out. Chances are they wouldn't catch you, since there are probably several others doing the same thing. But still, just wait it out, if you can't go online without using your campus' network.

do you have a laptop with a WIFI card?

..if not i'd forget about it, or just mooch off someone else who doesn't care if they get expelled

I would try to use wimix.com because that is a good site for downloading music that is what i use:)...
