:yeahthat I've actually recorded every episode of Rescue Me to date since AKA said some nice things about it. Haven't watched any yet though. I think the season is winding down so I'll wait for the season to end before I get into it, watch them all at once.

Isn't Desperate Housewives more of a dramedy than a drama per se? There's a difference.

I find myself spending more and more time on the pay cable/satellite channels and very little on the major networks. There used to be ten or twelve dramas that I looked forward to each week, but the list has dwindled considerably over the last few years. I've recently dropped ER with the departure of Alex Kingston and the general soap-style plots that have taken over what used to be a unique and compelling drama. I've also lost interest in The West Wing without Aaron Sorkin and Thomas Schlamme. CSI was getting repetitive even before it became too diluted by yet a third locale. I'm still not sure about Monk without Bitty Schram, but I'm not optimistic. Currently, there are only four network drama/dramedies on my must-see list:

Desperate Housewives
Joan of Arcadia
Lost
Without a Trace

As for limited series on HBO and Showtime:

Carnivale
Dead Like Me
The L Word
Six Feet Under
The Sopranos

You need to start watching 24. Change the channel from Las Vegas on NBC to FOX and just start watching 24. Period.

I've watched it a few times.... its just not my thing. Great concept, and great actors, its just something about it doesn't seem to click for me.

I'll give it another chance though.

Ohh, and just let me say in advance.... damn you if I get addicted to yet another show.

All in all it's a good series. I really liked the acting and the storyline.... but something just wasn't right. Maybe it was just too many American Idol commercials that turned me off.

I also like Veronica Mars - great series; and Monk, although I must admit that I haven't been keeping up with Monk lately. I do want to see the new season with Traylor Howard replacing Bitty Shramm.

I do want to see the new season with Traylor Howard replacing Bitty Shramm.I honestly expected to hate Monk without Bitty Schram. I was prepared to watch as much of the first episode of the new half-season as I could stand and then retreat wistfully into the comfort of the first- and second-season DVDs. I might have been very wrong.

The first episode with Traylor Howard was outstanding (with the exception of the crime itself, which was just plain stupid). The show was, in my opinion, back to its first-season form and I barely missed Sharona at all. The second episode had a couple of rough spots but the crime was better. I think it will be OK without Sharona. Different, but as good as it was in the early episodes.

That's what the dvds are for. Better for you to get totally engrossed in the show, no distracting commercials. I got into it through the dvds. I rented it at first. Watched one episode and I was hooked; nons-top suspense. You just keep wanting to see what happens next.

But I understand if it's simply not your kind of show.

Well, I don't understand.

But I do.

Smallville and 7th Heaven for me. I Watched the first few episodes of Point Pleasant but it got too creepy and dark for me. Veronica Mars looks good, But I Don't have UPN. So Far I'm enoying Blind Justice. I Occasionally watch Jack & Bobby, But I'm Not really a "Fan" Of it.

There's a deficiency somewhere. You can't give it a try, if you don't watch it from the start and care about the characters (namely Jack), it's understandable you might not be impressed. You have to give it more than a try. Anyway, didn't you see that great review they gave the season 3 dvd on Classic TV Hits (http://www.classictvhits.com/promotions/reviews/review_details.php?id=309)? Sounds like a good show to me.

The other day, "Battlestar Galactica" on the Sci Fi Channel had their first season finale, and IMO, it was the best finale show I have ever seen..
Not only is it the best sci fi show on TV right now, but I would put it up against any other hour long drama in a heartbeat.

This show is brilliant. This show is miles ahead of any other sci fi show, and this is coming form a die hard Star Trek fan.

My fav so far is Clubhouse.

Oh my...that seems like 100 years ago. Too bad CBS didn't give that more of a chance.

Anyway, I'm always parked in front of the TV for Criminal Minds and CSI:NY. I hope CBS keeps those 2 shows together for many years to come.

I enjoy Cold Case, but damn, every episode makes me cry! I also like Without a Trace.

I used to be a big CSI fan, but after they moved Without a Trace, I guess I just lost interest. And I like the characters on New York 100000x better.
