I have been spending a lot of money on newspapers the last couple of weeks and i plan to save some money starting tomorrow so i want to know the opinion of nyc residents in regards to the NY Daily News and NY Post. I been buying both of these papers everday and now i just want to buy one of them. So if you had to choose between the NY Daily News and the NY Post which one would you choose?

I live in MA but I read the NY Post religiously, everyday. I don't like the Times, and the Daily News bugs me for some reason.

I'd vote Post.

The Post is VERY inaccurate. For example, one time their headline was that John Kerry chose Richard Gephardt as his vice presedential candidate. The NY Daily News has the best sports coverage in the city bar none.

I read the New York Times religiously....wait....yeah I live in WA, so maybe this isnt my area of expertise (on campus you can get for free the NY Time, USA Today, Seattle Times, and Spokesman Review...and possibly something else)

though I guess the times does have a pretty limited section that is actually about New York

I realized that the NY Daily News TV section is better than the Post. So i may go ahead and get the NY Daily News tomorrow.

I read the Daily News every day.
The Post has great celeb and entertainment gossip, but the Daily News has better comics and weekly features. Plus thier TV and film critics are great.

What's your reason for liking the NY Daily News and not the Post?

Same reasons that Brian Damage mentioned. I look at the Post like the National Enquirer, it's trash. The News has better news, sports, entertainment, comics, everything.

That was hilarious. I still remember that breaking on the wires about 6am the day Kerry announced back in July...

:rotflmao:

Wish I had the cover...
