Now I wish I knew things back then like I know things now, I would have just lauged it off. Just was wondering how would you handled it. By the way that wasin 1977. Way back when.

People talked about me all the time in elementary and JH. Then I got to HS and got lost in the crowd and no one knew me.

I hated them all.

Yeah, people talked about me all the time and made fun of me in elementary school. It was a small town, too. Then, I moved to the city and went to high school and was amazed at how many nice people there are in the world. I didn't even stay in contact with anyone from elementary school days. There were some nice people at that school, but most of them were jerks.
I was around so many jerks for the most part of my life that I was shocked when I wasn't being picked on at my high school. But, the one good thing about the elementary school experience for me was once I got to high school I didn't take any teasing or bullying from anybody. I kind of developed an attitude and became a brat and told anyone off who tried to tease me.

I hate everybody at school. I'm so sick of my "friends" and their bull****. I swear I'm not putting up with it anymore. I ****ing hate them and I hope their lives are ruined to the point where they can't even take it anymore, because that's what they did to me. **** them.

People have talked about me, but I don't care, most of it's true anyway and I'm not ashamed. I talk about people but they deserve it.

People talk about me alot, and gossip.
It mostly happens in Jr. High, IMO.
Sometimes in high school.

I have been picked on by people for years even since school-age. Kids have teased me and called me names when I went to school. It has spread over into my adult years as well. I thought that I had a friend who shared the same interests as me who I was friends with for 4 years from 1994-1998. There at the last,he didn't exactly come out and say it,but he didn't want to be friends with me anymore because he wanted to get married and have kids. Besides that,he married a girl with a kid already. Now he works at the deli department at the store where I and my mom shop, but he doesn't talk. I have also had friends who have used me as well, such as take them to eat, take them places, etc. So basically now I don't have any friends to talk to. But I have to learn to live with it. I also have depression and am taking Zoloft and Xanax now and it is making me feel better, but it doesn't change anything about the past. I don't even have any friends on here so it happens that way.:(

I was a ghost in high school. I wasn't picked on much, but I also wasn't popular. I had my group of friends that I hung out with and most other people didn't know who I was. For me high school was four years that went by really quicky and left little to no lasting impression on my life.

Add to that the pressure of a parent telling you all the time to make friends. Despite your best efforts, you don't make friends and the kids continue to tease you. So yes kids can be cruel, sometimes very cruel.

:( That is so not fair. I can't imagine why you were treated this way, you're such a nice person. You don't come across as being different. Either way, you sure did not deserve this treatment. :(

I was never popular at all in school.
I was picked on in primary school but I was mainly just ignored for the most part. But I was bullied really badly for the first 4 years of high school. I had s##t thrown at me, I was punched a few times, one guy hit me over the head with a chair, I was pushed down stairs more times than I care to remember. I never did anything to any of my tormentors - I guess they just got a kick out of making me look like a chump cos they knew I didn't have the nerve to fight back.
The thing is, all the name calling and physical abuse doesn't mean anything to me now. The worst thing that happened to me in high school wasn't the beatings or the name-calling or the punches or the rumours. The worst thing was when my two best friends - whom I loved more than anything else on this earth - dumped me. They never told me why, they never explained - they just decided that they didn't need me anymore. Best friends for 5 years and then nothing. That hurt more than anything.

School was miserable for me. But somehow I feel I let it be that way. I was very anti social. If I had the chance to do it all over again I would do things totally different.

OTOH I had a lot of quirks, maybe I set myself up for the ridicule I got, but in anycase, I don't think anyone deserves ridicule at all. i was a Lucy Fan I was teased about that, when I was real young I was sort of a tom boy I was ridiculed for that. I would have definitley changed that about myself then. The lucy thing I don't think I deserved the ridicule for though. I remember a teacher ridiculed me once for the Lucy thing, it wasn't bad enough my peers teased me and made each day I went to school a living hell
but when the teacher joined in, maybe he didn't realize the effect it had on me, or the multitude of people who ridiculd me, all i know is that I left school crying that day and didn't return for a few days, and had my class switched, that was in JR High.

I still got ridicule about the Lucy thing in HS, but atthat point I didn't care anymore. I got a little more self confidence hrew out of my adolescent stages and figured, heck I am not out to please them idiots after school is all over Iwon't have to worry about them, I am here for onepurpose that is to learn, and I am going to make the best grades I can and make myself happy doing that. I met a young girl who had a lot of problems in school, had no friends and many made fun of her, I kinda feel good I can give her advice, and she feels good about herself, it helped her through HS and now she is in college.

I am an adult myself now and I am a lot more social, outgoing, and developed a sense of humour about myself, even as an adult I still get ridicule from people, the way I see it though, the ones who ridicule are the ones with the problems not me, I am not out to please anyone else out there, if one chooses to not be my friend that is their choice, if someone chooses to ridicule someone out of his her her own pleasure it is probably because that person is so uncomfortable with themselves they don't know what else to do aboit it so they bring themselves up by tearing others down, whether it be by poking fun at their views or character flaws. We can all laugh at ourselves but there is a fine line between a little tease between friends and harassment.

I found a page on it. It's a little confusing, tho, so maybe she can explain it more the next time she comes back online.

High school - we call it 'secondary school' - in Britain lasts for 6 years. You usually start when you're 12 or 13 years old and leave when your 17-18.
Primary school lasts for 7 years. It starts when you're 5 years old and you leave when you're about 12.

Don't feel bad BRAVESFAN2004 I am ridiculed here too. Maybe it was partially my fault I dunno, I just knwo that people want to carry on old hurts and fights from years ago.No one is bold enough to forgive and forget. No one wants to talk about the forum topic, they just wanna hurt and say mena and hurtful things to one another, put down beleifs, and belittle. You know what I say to that? Heck with em' I am not here to please the, i am here to post and exchange info, if I make a few friends, that is great, but at least I am having a good time communicating my thoughts and as long as I have the right to publicly do so I will. No one can stop me inbeleiveing what I want nor can anyone stop my spirit. So let's just go one and discuss. If we disagree on something then we agree to disagree. everyone has their views. I respect that.

People who talk about you or behind your back means they are trouble makers and they don't have the nerve to say stuff to your face. I had people like that when I was in High School I had friends I hung out with and stuff and I was going out with her brother exc exc.. Then after that I havn't heard from her at all she was suppose to be my best friend but she was just like the other's!!!!!!!!!!! I would just ignore the idiot's that are doing this and just do your own thing, that's the only thing I can tell you. And if it gets to far, you should go to the principles office ( sorry for my spelling) lol.. Good Luck

Yeah, 5th and 7th grade were the worst for me.

Not only were they calling me names but also hitting me or shoving me up against lockers.

It go so bad in 7th that my mother went to the police because the principal and guidance counselor didn't do anything but tell me to ignore it.

I hate all those high school stereotype bitch girls. All they do is pick on or intimidate people outside of their cult and they hang around with their hot boyfriends. This one girl I know had a '00 Land Rover, but it started having problems so she was driving her dad's '05 Thunderbird or whatever. One day after school she went home and her dad had bought her a new '05 4 Runner, and she told her dad she didn't like it and that it was too "mom" for her. I hate her now because she is so ungrateful and crap, and most people at my school are like that. I want them all to die.

I got picked on & bullied when i was in middle school & high school. Gettin bullied & picked on is the worst cause it seems like these ignorant kids will never leave u alone. Black kids are really worst than white kids i think when it comes to teasing & bullying. Going to a majority black school like i told ya'll before is really horrible cause black kids are so mean at teasing people. I can't complain too much cause i talk about people too but i've never bullied anybody. Now i know how Michael Jackson feels. It's a good thing he never went to school during his kid years cause he probably would've got teased a lot. People who are different always get teased. When your not doing what everybody else is doing such as smoking, drinkin alcohol, having sex, skippin classes, partying, you're considered lame, loser, weird & i have a problem with that. The problem with this country & it's always been this way especially in the black community is that there isn't enough leaders. There's too many followers who follow what everybody else is doing cause they think it's cool to be ignorant.

Yeah, thank goodness Michael Jackson didn't have to suffer through going to school and possibly growing up to be some physically mutilated, baby dangling, chimp for a best friend having, formerly black, grown man with an amusement park who hangs out with young boys. He sure did turn out great by missing out on all that teasing, didn't he?

If all you've been to is a predominantly Black school, how do you know that Blacks are any worse than any other group of kids? If that's what you've personally experienced, try to express that and stop implying that that's typical of the entire race of people.

Mine was really bad, my teeth stuck out quite a bit, and had been that way since I was about 8 years old.

I got braces when I was in my 20's, and they helped some, but I've still got a slight overbite, but not nearly as bad as it was

I could have gone to my five year reunion, but what the heck for/ I didn't like the kids I went to school with when I was in school, i didn't go to my Sr. ALL Nite Party to have one last round with them, and after graduation ceremony I beat a hasty retreat, didn't say bye to anyone cept a few teachers I was close to.

Vashti1999 i see what you're saying about how would i know how other races of kids are if i've only gone to majority black schools. I went to mixed schools when i was in 6th, 7th, 8th grades & i liked those schools better cause i didn't have to deal with a lot of blacks all the time. My other point i made about Michael Jackson would've probably had a bad experience at school with kids teasing him when he was younger if he would've never became a entertainer, my point is he would've gotten teased cause he was weird when he was a kid. Remember that pet rat he had that he called Ben? LOL. I know he's weird now but nobody made him be weird. That's the choice he made. Nobody forced him to deal with little kids & nobody made his skin look the way it does now. He made these decisions so he has himself to blame for the ridicule that he gets from people who think he's weird. So if he goes to prison, i have no sympathy for him cause there's no excuse for a old man to be dealing with kids regularly when he needs to be married to a woman with kids of his own, not kids from a sperm bank.
