Be aware that there is a damage to the soundtrack on the RHINO My Favorite Martian DVDs and video tape that have the 7th episode “A Loaf of Bread, A Jug of Wine..and Peaches.” The problem of slowed down speech occurs at the very end of the fade out of the 2nd act on Martin’s line.
This defect was never there in the print of the “Peaches” episode used during MFM’s syndication run 1983-93. It only appeared when TVLAND started showing the series (with scenes cut) in 2000.
Apparently RHINO never bothered to actually listen to the copy they received from the studio.
If it was the negative that was actually damaged when cuts were made for TV LAND, then Rhino should have gone to other sources for an undamaged print.
