Remember that episode when Willona's ex-husband Ray showed up? He made a pass at Thelma. Anyway, doesn't he looks like R&B singer Al Green? LOL

In the first season, it was ALVIN, then it changed to RAY! No wonder Willona divorced him, he had an identity crisis

LOL no I don't think he looks like Al Green. that's an insult to Al Green LOL. Ray was one ugly man, Al Green isn't cute at all, but doesn't look like Ray to me.

You know, the way the characters' names were changed from one to another, makes me wonder abt the spin-off debate because of the name James/Henry. BUT DON'T GET ME WRONG, I DON'T WANT TO START THAT DEBATE AGAIN. Just a statement, that's all!!!!!!

It was in "Too Old Blues" that Willona mentioned Alvin was her ex-husband.

The guy who played Ray was Carl Lee...son of the great blacklisted actor Canada Lee. I thought he was a decent looking guy. Good actor. I loved him in the movie "Gordon's War". Sadly, he died of a drug overdose in 1986.
