In this corner the short-lived NBC sitcom "House Rules"
And in this corner the long-running ABC hit "Two guys and a girl".
What show was better?
They were both good but HR (For those who remembered it) WAS GREAT!

I don't remember House Rules and I didn't like Two Guys and A Girl so I'm unable to say which was better.
Another rip off of Three's Company was Too Close For Comfort:
Henry & Muriel Rush = Stanley & Helen Roper
Sara & Jackie = Chrissy & Janet
Monroe = Jack
Even the title is somewhat similar

That show was HYSTERICAL! The first episode where Riley proposed to Casey after her so she wouldn't move to paris was GREAT! and the series finale with the Prom flashback was HYSTERICAL!

The most blatant ripoff was called "We Got it Made". It aired on NBC 1983-84, and was about two guys who hire a very good-looking Chrissy Snow-type to be their live-in maid. It came back in syndication for a season a few years later, with a slightly different cast. Really awful.

Too Close for Comfort..I say is the worst one!
thats the biggest rip off!
a real gay guy playing "jack".. he dressed and kind "tried" to act like silly jack..
balck hair/ blonde hair girls..
living under the same roof.. but on different floors..from a guy/father who didn't like it..
what a rip off

Too Close for Comfort was made by the same people who made TC, DLT Entertainment.

Also, It's "We Got It Maid", the 'Made' part is usually mistaken since most sources list it as that, but NBC Promos have it as 'Maid'

Nope, it's "We Got it Made". I distinctly remember this when it originally ran, because I thought it was very strange that it wasn't "Maid". I wouldn't be surprised if the promos misspelled it.

"Two Guys and A Girl" is the biggest rip-off....even though I watched it when it used to be called, "Two Guys, A Girl, and A Pizza Parlor". Too Close For Comfort is the best rip-off of it.

LOL I'm Confused Now. Half of the Books I've Read Say 'Maid', the other 'Made', but I've always thought of it as Maid
