I am curious has anyone had an encounter with any of the stars of Happy Days. I had one with Ron Howard a couple of years ago. I was in the mall on Christmas Eve and I was in the bookstore online cause I was purchasing a magazine and all of a sudden I heard a familiar voice right behind me. He said it sure is dark in here and as a joke I said it's probably an early sign of Y2K and he burst out laughing. When I was done, I wished him a Merry Christmas. :wave:

I met Ron and Mrs. Howard a few years back. I was in Billings Montana for a family get-together and Far and Away was being filmed there. A relative needed to deliver something to the set at the railroad station and I drove her down there. She went in search of someone who would let her past security and I was waiting near my car when a transportation crew member and I began talking. He took me onto the set and then just left me. I was with my daughter who was about 2 or 3 at the time. It was late (about 11 pm) when they quit shooting for the night. Suddenly Ron and his wife walked by heading for a car and he stopped and said "cute kid" referring to my little red-headed daughter. We shook hands and we talked about kids for a few moments and then I said something very stupid. "I know you're a big director now and all . . . but I just loved you in Happy Days."
He said "Thank You" and then they were on their way.
My sister and her young friends were in hot pursuit of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman but they mattered naught to me.
Ron and his wife are two genuinely nice people to take the time to talk to me after a long day of work.
I'm sure they have long forgotten this encounter but I never will.

I met Henry Winkler back in June of 2004. He was at a conference that my dad was scheduled to be at and I went along. He was so nice to everyone, and very funny as well! I was so thrilled to meet him!
