Dwayne effeminite? Rerun was probably the most feminine. I thought he was gay in real life. He really was camp, especially in the episode in Season 2 when his brohter-in-law bet on that sports game.

Sorry, I had to think about this some more. I do like Dwayne slightly more than Rerun because he reminded me of myself a little. Somewhat of a follower, never one to get into trouble unless running with the fellas, probably a bit too timid for his own good.Later on, during the final season, he evolved somewhat into kinda his own guy, with Rerun and Raj out of high school.Rerun was the man with the killer dance moves, but it always seemed to me that he really couldn't stand on his own without his boys, so to speak.He was hilarious and always getting into things, but someone who didn't have true direction always.Dwayne may have had some feminent moments, but he wasn't as feminine as Michael of Good Times.Also, he did look a little like a young Prince in his final season.

I liked both characters, but after viewing several of Season 5 episodes, I would definitely say Rerun is funnier. Dwayne in season 5 was saying to much 'crazy' stuff to be fun, when in the earlier season he was naturally funny because of expressions and mannerisms.

I'll go ahead and say that Rerun is funny and he can dance (he may have danced only one way, the same way all the time). Dwayne was sometimes a coward, never really saw him dance, he was funny without meaning to.

I agree in season 3 he wasn't needed as much and many of his lines were forced. Season 3 focused alot on Raj and Rerun in functioning as young adults, Dwayne was still 'kid' in high school.

I never thought Dwayne seemed effeminent in any way. He was just very shy. i liked him better than rerun. i liked roger, dee, shirley, mama, daddy, almost everyone better than rerun. even ms. collins..lol.

Well Dwayne because he was a hotty! But Rerun was really funny, and yes he really could dance well! Dwayne was funny too. I liked them both and Raj too. All three worked well together. I used to really like this show, I haven't seen it in years!

I and Fred Berry have the same birthday, March 13th, although he was much older than myself.

Rerun was better, he was funnier. Dwayne could be funny at times but dopey at others!

I noticed from watching episodes on Encore Black and TV One that Dwayne was only really funny in Season One. He had some hillarious one liners and the episodes about him in Season One are both funny, the episodes about him in later seasons are lame. Especially the ones without Roger and ReRun!

That's true. Dee was just a kid, and even so, she was just average looking. Mama and Shirley were fat, but at least they were somewhat pleasant looking.

Dee was the one-liner. Not a great actress. But she was the Darlene (from Roseanne) of her day. Shirley was the Roseanne (of her day), not a actress. Really just a standup comedian transplanted into a sitcom.

But I totally had a crush on Dwayne. It didn't matter to me that he was an airhead, and he looked even cuter in What's Happening Now.
