Most fans of this show dislike the last season, but what are some episodes that people thought were above average for that era? I would say each of these were notworthy:

Serena's Richcraft- On TVtome they say that this one was made for season 7 which explains alot- a big name star like Peter Lawford turning up to do a guest turn in a fading sitcom, the big look of the helicopter on the set in the tease, Samantha's old non-hippie look, Ms Montgomery's more spirited than usual for year 8 performance etc

Serena's Youth Pill- I don't know if this is based on some earlier script but it is enjoyable to see Larry Tate age backwards and get one last episode with Louise and Serena, esp Larry and Serena flirting with each other

I forgot the title of this one- the one where Endora makes Tabitha a child prodigy was the rare year 8 script that wasn't based on some earlier episode.

The name of that episode was School Days, School Daze, Episode #251. I like that one but Elizabeth Montgomery looked as though she wanted do some bodily harm to Mrs. Peabody, Tabitha's teacher, for coming over. Liz was not a happy woman in that final season.

My favorite was Episode #229 How to Lose Your Head to King Henry Viii Part 1. Liz displayed her beautiful singing talent in Poor Maiden Song. I enjoyed the sweetness of her voice in that song.

That season was a sad and tragic one for the show. It was that season the reason why Bewitched did not go down as a classic in the same vein as Dick Van Dyke, Mary Tyler Moore, I Love Lucy and other great classics. It stayed on one season too long and with Liz and Bill Asher's marital troubles her hurt and anger filtered into her performances. She brought an angry edge to Samantha that was not enjoyable to watch.
