Why does everyone think Suzanne's really mean? First of all, just because she got in a dispuit with the producers doesn't make her a bad person (In the CAKOOD Book, some of the crew said the producers were out to get her). If anyone was really mean, it was NRW. They were some of the dumbest producers I've heard of! Usually, if an actress/actor wants to come back, the producers let them *back*. I think they made some of the John Ritter stuff up like he wouldn't act in the same building with her.

And Don't Get Me Started on Joyce!

I agree with you -- just because she had a contract dispute doesn't necessarily make her a bad person. I do think she and her husband made some mistakes during her contract negotiations, such as trying to negotiate in the middle of production and making inflammatory comments to the press. She told her fans, through interviews, to stop watching the show, threatening the livelihood of the cast and crew. The producers certainly weren't innocent, either, and seemed to delight in making an example of her (those "phone call" cameos, for instance).

As far as letting her back goes, I honestly don't believe they could have. There was simply so much bad blood between her and the producers, and her and her co-stars, where they could no longer work together. CAKOOD confirms this. BTW, I've worked at jobs where there were disputes between the boss and certain employees, and the employee ended up having to leave, for the good of everyone, because there was no way they could work together again. This is not uncommon, and happens in showbiz, too.

She IS mean!!!! OK sorry Sean....i know you love Chrissy and all...but Suzanne wanted a HUGEEEEEEE raise! And when they agreed she wanted more more more! But its not all her fault...just partly her fault...A LOT of stuff has to do with her husband! He got her fired!

Joyce DeWitt is somewhat mean too because after ALL THESE YEARS she STILL is mad!

Suzanne Somers seems like a really sweet and kind person these days....but maybe she was different back then!

Well I'll admit, think Suzanne had some issues taking it to the level of 150,000 per episode. 5 times what she made now was asking waaaaaaaay out of the ballpark. However Suzanne realized her mistake and she has gotten over that point in her life. Joyce needs to do the same. Gosh she nds to get over it. I see John has.

Anyway, that contract dispuit was her husband's fault. She should have never fired her manager (Jay Bernstine, Starmaker For Farra Fawcett-Majors and Kristy McNichol) and replaced him with Hamel. But that still doesn't make her a bad person. It was mostly her husband's fault, and I think it's very confusing. Here's Why I Think Why:

1: Alan Hamle Released Her Statements, He Could Have Buttered Them Up

2: That Entire John Not Wanting To Work With Her I Think Was Made Up By the Producers so they could get that 'no good bad actress' off their set.

No One Handeled Themselves Well That Were in the Cast at that Time Except Jenilee Harrison and Richard Kline.

But it still doesn't make her a bad person. She seems 10X Nicer then Joyce. And if you asked your parents for a big raise in your allowence, and you started fighting over it, I guess YOU'D be a bad person too!

ok u guys hehe i dont wanna start a fight here but I like suzanne, i really do. I DO, though, believe John and Joyce and everyone over Suzanne and Alan cuz its like everyone else vs.alan and suzanne..thats like 50 or so people at least against 2, so her side is not as convincing when you think of it that way. But it happened, its over, and tc wasnt ruined by it, and I really like Suzanne, most of you know that! I really think she is NOT a snob like everyone thinks. But thats just my opinion. First off... I dont think shes mean, but not a good person to work with hehe. No but she thought she was the star of the show and her and joyce were makin the same amount of money and Jon was making more. Suzanna wanted more money because she thought she was the "star" Well, The producers said she could get 5 thousand more, but she wanted 150,000 per show and half ownership of the show. I THINK SHES CRAZY FOR WANTING THAT MUCH.

I can't believe Suzanne Somers thought she was the star! At the beginning it says STARRING JOHN RITTER! I mean yes she was giving the show really good ratings and yes she was really popular...but come on...150,000 dollars?????? WHOA....thats insane! I think she deserved a little raise...but thats wayyyy too much to ask for!

I dont hate her, she just aint my favorite. Shes cool on candid camera too.
