Who is your favorite third roommate? Chrissy, Terri or Cindy? Mine is Terri. Suzanne Sommers was funny, but I liked Terri the best. Cindy was a low point in the show.

From all the episodes I've seen on Nick at Nite so far, Chrissy! She's so dumb it's funny! I haven't many Terri eps., and there's weren't that many Cindy eps. to start off with, right? I'll probably still like Chrissy the best once I see all the eps...

Chrissy was the best blonde roommate. She was the best during the early years. After the Ropers moved out, she started acting real dumb and snorted like a pig. Her ponytails were dumb, but I have to say that she was better than Cindy or Terri.

i like chrissy because of her dumb humour and lovely one-liners.

i liked terri because of her wit and serious humour.

i liked cindy because she was such a klutz and very funny at times.


for me personally, it's a difficult choice, but i liked a bit of something in every one of them.

My favorite is Chrissy Snow. I also like Cindy Snow and Terri Alden, but not as much. The first four seasons with Chrissy were better than the ones that followed, imo. I liked seasons five and six with Cindy. I liked season 6 with Terri, but seasons 7 and 8 weren't as good as the first 6, in my opinion.

I like them all in their own unique ways!

Chrissy- I like her because she was pretty and she was really really funny with her lil stupid remarks here and there lol and all her different hair styles. I also like her pigtails- they weren't pretty, I just thought they were cute on her.

Cindy- I like her because I think she was the prettiest. Chrissy was pretty too, but I just think Cindy was a little better. I also thought it was pretty funny that she was a real klutz.

Terri- I like her because she was smart and she always gave great advice to Jack and Janet.

I like Chrissy because she is so funny with her dumb comments here and there and i love all her hairstyles. The pigtails weren't the best, but they looked cute on her.

I like Cindy because i think its hysterical when she crashes into things, especially Jack. She was also really pretty.

My favorite of the three is Terri Alden "Registered Nurse". She was sexy and smart.

Even though sometimes this show got on my nerves, Cindy was the best. I just wished more people liked her and the producers so they wouldn't have to get rid of her. Terri was the worst roommate EVER! Don't even get me started on her!!

I love Terri. Chrissy got old during season 4. They made more dumber and it became nerving to watch each week. Its a tie between Chrissy and Terri. Cindy is my least favorite character because her character was kind of annoying and not veru funny. The Chrissy episodes were the highest rating episodes and had the best chemistry with the roommates and she was hot. The Terri episodes though had the memorable and creative episodes and she was hot too. Its hard to decide between the 2.

Chrissy had her moments and could be pretty damn funny, but Terri's my favorite!

By the way, did anyone see Suzanne Somers in The Darklings? I know the movie is about four years old but man, she scared the bejesus out of me! :faint: I never saw her before with red hair. She looked like Amy Yasbeck with blue eyes! (If you didn't know, Amy Yasbeck is/was John Ritter's wife). At first she doesn't get many lines, I counted. She has about seven before she gets her big role. But then it turns into a wierd version of The Shinning. It's a really good movie to see during Halloween but I dunno if it's on video or DVD since it was a made for TV movie... If you do catch it, I should sit down and make popcorn during the commercials. If you miss a few seconds, you miss the whole movie!

I think Chrissy. I tend to favor the original, just like the first Darren over the second on Bewitched. Terri made too many faces and Cindy was too clutzy.

Cindy. Her comic timing with John Ritter was rather good.

Chrissy was great in the early seasons, but in seasons 4 and 5 she's just utterly annoying. She was forcing her shtick as much as Jimmy Walker was forcing his on "Good Times".

Terri - how the character stayed after the season 6 opener was amazing. Priscilla Barnes isn't the problem, the show starting to run out of material was.

YES. Cindy was very underrated & deserves a lot more credit. Her physical comedy with Jack is legendary. Better than any other roommate!

Terri was my favorite as far as acting goes. She didn't play an idiot blonde like Chrissy. She played her part well & was very funny at times. She also had the prettiest face.

Cindy though had the best figure & the best physical comedy of all the female roommates!

Terri, easily. She was the hottest (in my opinion), and wasn't dumb like Chrissy or clumsy like Cindy. She felt like a happy medium.

EXACTLY! She was just gorgeous! Tall, blonde, & legs that went on & on! Any normal man would be TOTALLY into a girl like her. She was among the hottest of the LA Rams cheerleaders who were even hotter back then than now!

I definitely preferred the early episodes (Seasons 1-3) with Chrissy and The Ropers, and the opening theme song has the roommates riding bikes. One episode I enjoy watching is the Older Woman.

I don't know why the made Chrissy more dumb and they made her overuse the snort laugh later on.

As for the post Chrissy episodes, there was too much Larry. I did like Mr. Furley though and thought Cindy should have given the permanent roommate role after Chrissy left, rather than it eventually going to Terri.

But the producers probably wanted to erase all links to Chrissy Snow. Cindy was a temp, and written as a cousin of Chrissy. Too unfortunate. If it was written that Cindy was unrelated to Chrissy, but still clumsy and likeable, and maybe be a nurse (i.e. Terri's profession) as being smart at the same time, maybe she would have carried the later seasons better.

After the Ropers as a series failed, the producers should have let the Ropers return as just friends or neighbors, while still keeping Furley as the landlord, involving them while having less of Larry.

You know why they didn't do that right? Money of course.

2 actors with the experience Norman & Audra had would've commanded at least $30K an episode each. When they already had the legendary Don Knotts there's no way they'd spend all that extra money.

I liked the change from Mr. Roper to Mr. Furley as landlord, even though I liked everything else from the beginning of the series over the end of the series.

From the early episodes, Mrs. Roper has a fondness for the "kids" unlike Mr. Roper. Maybe she could have been Janet's partner in her floral shop business or a tenant in the building but divorced or widow from Mr. Roper.

But yeah I know, in reality, they didn't care for those actors, or even Joyce DeWitt or Priscilla Barnes, by the end of the series.

I will vote for Terri. While I enjoyed early Chrissy, in later years, she was written like an idiot. I do like Cindy, and her physical comedy was good, but Terri was the best blonde roommate.

I wish Cindy could have stayed on longer. Even though she was no longer a roommate after her first year, we saw her for another season. I don't see why that had to end.

It probably had to end because Jenilee was a hot commodity back then. Dallas was the biggest show on earth then so NOBODY would turn down a chance to go there. Even if Dallas didn't want Jenilee I doubt producers would've paid Jenilee for a bit part.

Totally agree about Terri. She was the best blonde followed by Cindy.

I've been watching a lot of Three's Company lately with the 24x7 channel on Pluto TV.

It's almost as if there are two Chrissy Snows.

Early episodes with Chrissy having a natural blonde look, more simple minded but not as outright dumb. Smart enough in the pilot episode to want to have Jack be a roommate.

Later episodes of Chrissy with her hair bleached, more makeup on her cheeks, and pony tails, voice is whiny, and more snorting for something funny. Seems more dumb and one episode (The Loan Shark) she didn't know what a percent off meant, gets into a bad deal for a loan, and Jack has to cook for someone because of Chrissy's mistake.

Apparently, Suzanne Somers wanted all of the latter in the Chrissy character and might have wanted the dumbing down of the Chrissy character with that look.

I much preferred the original/natural Chrissy. Maybe the audiences back then liked Chrissy second version, or it helped Suzanne gain more fame. Perhaps Suzanne felt she needed to do all that which got some fame, in order for the producers to warrant raises or at least some parity in compensation relative to John Ritter.

As for Cindy, did she really have a chance for the part? Or was she just viewed in as a fill-in?

I mentioned in another thread, that I would have preferred if Cindy stayed on as the third roommate, rather than Terri. In hindsight, they could have made her been a physical therapist and unrelated to Chrissy, somewhat like Terri having a professional aspect to her, but still keeping Jennilee over Priscilla. I also kind of wish they had brought back Audra Lindley even though they were cheap or didn't want to expend any budget for her. I didn't care for so much of Larry as the only friend, although Mr. Furley was also a friend of the group.

In her prime Priscilla Barnes had one of the most beautiful faces in the history of Hollywood. Near perfection. Prettiest face on the show.

I agree about Chrissy- she was a little naive in the first few seasons, though by the time Furley arrived, they went all out with her in that regard.
