I'd also include The Evil Dead and maybe Frankenstein.

Here are a few more:

Army of Darkness
The Astro-Zombies
Bride of Re-Animator
Burial Ground
Cemetary Man
Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things
Dead Alive

I've only seen 'Night of the Living Dead' (original), Dawn of the Dead (remake) and Shaun of the Dead.

Shaun of the Dead was funny (I liked the ending alot)- but it is really overrated- I suppose the humour in this film is sort of the norm in the uk (though usually carried out worse- but jokes about hangovers and pubs are the norm, and really average characters), and that's why I don't appreciate it as much- it's just not as fantastic as the US critics make it out to be.

***Do any of you live in Washington? The Landless Theatre is presenting 'Diamond Dead' from October 1st. It's a stage production of the next zombie film George A Romero will be directing following 'Land of the Dead'. Looks pretty good- I've read the movie script, some very very funny parts, and great songs. It's about a rock band brought back to life as zombies by the lead singer's girlfriend- on the condition that she take over as Death for a year and collect at least 369 souls.
