Was Kirstie Alley fat when she was young??

On the show she certainly wasn't skinny, nor obese.... but there was plenty of reference to her being fat growing up.
And now.... just look at her.

The best thing we could do is avoid wasting our time thinking or talking about her. Which saddens me a little...because that logo is my best work yet.

I don't if she was fat when she was a kid but when she was on Star Trek-The Wrath of Khan she fine as hell!!! And when she first walked in the door at Cheers I had to agree with Sam when he first saw her!! She's got to be pushing close to 225lbs. now.

I don't know if she was fat when she was a kid or not, but one of the hosts on the radio show I listen to on my drive to school has reffered to her numerous times as "the fat chick from Pier One" lol. I think it's kinda sad she was on a hit sitcom for six years and now she's referenced by her weight and commercials she's done, lol.

Am I missing something here? I am a long time Cheers fan but only a recent member here so maybe that remark is lost on me!

Anyway I really like Kirstie and always liked her in Cheers and wish her well in her new show Fat Actress. With all the press she has received regarding her weight, it is great to see she is taking i in good spirit and essentially making a new show sending up her image.

All of the other Cheers actors made guest appearances on Frasier except for Kistie - because of her religion. Her refusal to guest star on just one episode made a lot of Cheers and Frasier fans mad.

I knew Kirstie was the only Cheers actor not to be in Frasier but I had no idea that was the reason. Was she offered a guest slot and turned it down due to the script containing things her religion did not agree with?

From what I gather, she was offered to guest star but turned it down because her religion doesn't agree with two things:
1) psychiatry
2) playing the same role twice as an actor
