I was watching the Final episode last night the one where they all move out to California. I think the show could have lasted another season, and had more Fran antics with movie stars and maybe finally she could have met Barbra Streisand. I think we could have been in for more laughs especially with C.C and Niles being married and having a child of their own. What do the rest of you all think???

I'm not sure. I like season 6 and all, but I really think the show lost something once Max and Fran were married. The sexual tension was gone at that point. I admit, a married Niles and C.C. (with a kid, no less!) would make for an interesting premise, though. It might have worked as a spin-off.

The whole "Fran meeting a celebrity" thing had been done several times on TN already. She even met Striesand once in "The Car Show."

That's just my two cents. :)

C.C and Niles would have made for an interesting Spinoff, but would it have jumped the shark?? An intersting title,,, "The Butler" LOL. That show was a great show, and now Fran is gonna be doing a new sitcom, but I can't picture her as anyone but the NANNY named FRAN. The film she did Beutician and the Beast was good because she was much like her character Fran. but I can't picture her with anyone but "MAX" or Charles Shlaunessy.

I was a big fan of The Nanny, and loved the show and all the characters, but once Fran and Maxwell got married,it got boring.I do wish though that CC and Niles had their own show, with the Sheffields as neighbors.I would have liked to have seen CC and Niles go further, because i think they brought something huge to the show.

I would have liked the show to continue,in California.I was so upset after i watched the finale, because it meant the end,but thank god for re runs.I wanted to know more about CC and Niles love affair as well.

Fran couldn't be the Nanny much longer, because the kids were getting older.Maggie said that in the episode The Nanny and the Hunk Producer. She says, "And she's still our Nanny, even though 2 of can drive (referring to the kids being too old for a nanny)
Plus,i read Frans book Cancer Schmancer, and she had to end the show because she was getting sick.Once they got married,i lost interest in the show, because there was no tension between Max and Fran anymore.

Every show loses some of it's sexual tension once characters get together. But it's ridiculous to think that Fran and Max shouldn't have gotten together. That would have been pointless.
Personally, I loved the wedding, Fran's attempts to get pregnant, having the twins and Niles and C.C's marriage.
I think the Nanny could have gone a few more years, as there were many more stories that could have been told. Niles and C.C.'s baby, Maggie's becoming a mother, Gracie getting married, etc..
I loved the last season and think it was done very well.

I wanted it to happen, and of course it was going to happen but i think that was when the Nanny 'jumped the shark'.It went downhill once the wedding and honeymoon was over.Every episode revolved around Max and Fran having a fight, then a passionate kiss to make up.

I think maybe that it couldve stood for 1 more season, but I'm not really sure, because I personally wouldve gotten a bit disinterested if they werent in the same house, and Brighton and Maggie wouldnt have been in it as much, and Fran wouldnt have been the same character, due to motherhood changing her.I just dont think the show wouldve been as funny, that's all.
