I kinda like this new character Fontana. I cautious but slowly warming up to him. I think his "fast talking" style kind of interesting as well as his love for the good life! :) But I do miss Lenny's cracks at the opening of the show! :(

I am kind of intrigued with him, he really does seem like a wiseguy, makes you wonder if he is crooked or something.

I really dont like hte way every other word that comes out of his mouth is a lie, though he does talk pretty fast, they normally stick to interrogation rooms for the tricks you know.

I do have to say though, Orbach is a very hard act to follow

btw, the first episode last night sucked but the second was good

...the first new episode--while well done and thought-provoking, as well as showing intelligence in bringing up the historical context of the murder (the Crusades)--was waaaay toooo politically explosive for my taste!

And while it was great that it was the new detective who injected the historical interest into the show (I hope he does more of that, cuz you don't often get such insights into the inner lives of the detectives), he is going to take a little getting used to, yes. Looks and acts more like he should be on the other side of the law--but then so does Fin on SVU, and I just looooove him LOL!

I really hated how it was politically explosive also...I dont mind when they bring up 9/11 and stuff like that, I mean, they are in New York, but prisoner abuse...too much, I dont like a political agenda on my primetime dramas
