View Full Version : Why doesn't anyone like Cindy?
Beruche 09-18-2001, 06:57 PM Cindy wasn't my favorite but she was funny sometimes. She wasn't as funny as Chrissy but what did people expect?I think sometimes Cindy can be better than terri even though Chrissy was the best.
So why doesn't anyone like Cindy?
DJM77 09-18-2001, 07:11 PM I think Cindy was okay. I didn't have anything against her. I do remember reading somewhere that she was asked to leave because "she didn't register on the jiggle meter."

callmetootie 09-18-2001, 07:57 PM Cindy was the best character on the show.
Cindy: You're still wearing that....wistwatch!
Date: Wistwatch?
Cindy: That's wight! I'm better be wunning awong!
Date: That's weduculous!
Sean Snow 09-18-2001, 07:58 PM This is not true! She just wasn't old enough to do those jokes about you-know-what.
Also, Cindy is my second favorite. I HATE TERRI! But I Love the Snows!
Beruche 09-18-2001, 11:36 PM I liked Cindy but it seems like everyone I know that watches threes company likes Terri better than Cindy.I didn't like terri that much.Cindy was my second favorit to but Chrissy was the best.
Montana Ponine 09-19-2001, 10:04 AM I loved Cindy! She was so funny IMO. I liked her better than Chrissy...well actually no I like them both equally.

Krisalicious 09-19-2001, 02:56 PM CINDY IS AWESOME!!!!!! Shes my favorite blonde! Gosh she is so funny! Her and Chrissy are great! I liked Cindy a little bit better than Chrissy but i liked both of the Snows better than Terri!!
TV Guy 09-19-2001, 04:04 PM I like Cindy better than Terri, too. Her biggest problem was that she seemed a little young to be contemporary of Jack and Janet's. Terri's problem was that she was too boring to be a contemporary of Jack and Janet's. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
fizzyrox 09-19-2001, 05:43 PM I like Cindy but I like Chrissy and Terri better. I liked how Chrissy had funny jokes and was sorta more like the kid, and I liked how Terri was made to have a really positive attitude. I think that they really didnt give Jenilee that much of a chance to show the audience what her character was like, but yeah she was really young and it was harder to do some jokes. So I can sorta see why they took her off but I really think she should have at least had a scene where she said 'goodbye' and stuff. Cuz her last words were "yeah, bye" after Janet was like "wun a wong cindy, wunawong." or whatever. But all in all..I liked her! -Leslie
Bluestone 09-21-2001, 05:32 PM A lot of people like Cindy. I do http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif.
It's Terri that everybody's always saying mean stuff about http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif.

I totally agree! I don't understand why people don't like Terri...I thought she was really funny. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, it's just that everyone says mean things about her. I really liked her, I thought Priscilla was a wonderful actress.

ThomasE 09-24-2001, 01:24 PM Yeah Terri was good too. I liked her and felt sorry for her when Jack and Larry were pulling those jokes on her at Cindy's party. Cindy was one of my favorites though. I thought they were all good.
fizzyrox 09-24-2001, 05:07 PM yeah! Same with me you guys! I liked Terri and everyone here is always against her hehe she was so cool! -Leslie

Chrissy:One more word and I'm going to stick this umbrella up your pants and open it!
Janet and Chrissy to Jack after attempting to make dinner with the animal brains Jack provided..
Janet:Besides, I've never had sweet breads before.
Chrissy:And I've never had brains!
Beruche 09-24-2001, 05:59 PM I don't hate terri I just like the episodes with Chrissy and Cindy better. It just seemed that terri was a little to much like Janet.
Kari084 09-24-2001, 09:00 PM Cindy was very funny. She was my secound favorite out of the blondes, In my opinion she was better then Chrissy and Terri.
Precious 09-26-2001, 11:53 AM Cindy's a dumb klutz. She wasn't even funny at all.
Curtis3331 09-26-2001, 02:30 PM I like Cindy. I think she was the prettiest of three blondes. I always thought it was cute when she ran into things like Jack.
fizzyrox 09-26-2001, 05:20 PM i thought Cindy was funny when she was always bumping into Jack (and a lot of other things). Thats what I liked about her, her clumsiness.
------------------
Chrissy:One more word and I'm going to stick this umbrella up your pants and open it!
JT:All that man ever thinks about is sex! Its like a disease!
Mrs.Roper:Why dont you get him to breathe on you, Stanley.
Chrissy:Well, you know, Jack's really a nice person, he just hasn't been around children very much.
Jack:I live with you, don't I?
grade4 10-18-2003, 04:31 PM I think people got annoyed that everywhere you look, Cindy is dropping a plate or knocking down a plant stand, or knocking down someone. The only good thing she did was in Eyewitness Blues, when the Arcade Flower Shop got robbed and she opened the door and knocked out the robber...

Yeah, but what happened to her?? Did she start doing drugs or something? Nobody, even Cindy, can get that ugly that fast...
I saw her on Win, Lose, Or Draw two days ago on Game Show Network and omg! I said to myself, that's not Cindy, is it? She's too pretty to be Cindy... and I found out @ the end that it was... except for what she was wearing... she was wearing, as my mom put it, a pillowcase and a belt! But seriously! She was wearing a mini-skirt dress with a belt, and sneakers, AND LEGWARMERS! Omg, who picked that out for her???
beckyc 10-18-2003, 05:34 PM She was wearing a mini-skirt dress with a belt, and sneakers, AND LEGWARMERS! Omg, who picked that out for her???
i want that outfit!!
Vegas Girl 10-19-2003, 12:10 AM In the first episode where Cindy comes in with her boat and she's hitting Jack and knocking these over, Jack says something to Janet about "Hurricane Cindy". Talk about the pot calling the kettle black! He did a lot of 'tripping' and bumping into things himself!
vashti1999 10-19-2003, 12:26 AM I don't like Cindy and I like Terri even less. You just can't replace a character like Chrissy. The best female addition to the show was LANA
brasspounder 10-19-2003, 08:25 PM Hey, Cindy was OK.
My list:
1. Janet
2. Cindy
3. Terri
4. Chrissy
...
...
3,234,543,234 Lana
Yuk, I am glad Lana was only on for a few eps!!

But yeah I guess my opinion is still somewhat the same...but now I think I like Chrissy a tiny bit more than Cindy, only because she was on the show longer. I like season 1-3 Chrissy more than Cindy, but like Cindy a lot more than season 4-5 Chrissy.
stella 10-19-2003, 11:36 PM Maybe it's because she never appeared sexy like the other three main girls (Chrissy, Janet, Terri). With her tall figure and long legs, she may have appeared very sexy scantily dressed. Although she wore a nightgown a few times, that still didn't show her full figure.
Unlike Chrissy, Janet, and Terri, Cindy never appeared in a skimpy bathing suit, bikini, or leotard.
Burley_Furley 10-20-2003, 02:18 AM Cindy got annoying after awhile with her clumsiness.
What I did like about her though is she gave Jack more physical comedy. Some of the funniest episodes was the one's with Cindy in it.

Cindy's not my favorite TC character. Mine is Jack. However, out of the three roommates, I like Cindy because she's clutzy and with Jack's physical aspirations, they're both super funny! :D
Fallon97 08-12-2007, 12:06 AM I liked Cindy. In fact, she was my second favorite blonde.
This is my blonde order:
1. Chrissy -- my favorite!!
2. Cindy
3. Terri
Mikado 08-12-2007, 02:04 AM I liked her and i stopped watching the show shortly after she was replaced with that awful, boring Terri character , whom i despised........they tried so hard NOT to make a "dumb blonde" of her (Terri), that they forgot to give her SOME kind of personality...not to mention that she was kind of ugly. (imo)
freshprinceofLA 08-12-2007, 07:34 PM Cindy wasen't too bad she brought a "Chrissy" spark into the show but you could tell that her character was gonna get old fast
catlover79 08-12-2007, 10:02 PM I liked Cindy - but she was thrown into the mix very quickly after the very popular Chrissy was written out. So I think it's more an issue of timing rather than really disliking the character. I think Jenilee Harrison did a good job under those circumstances.
Mikado 08-12-2007, 10:14 PM :yeahthat True, she barely had time to think, never mind actually develop the character
I Love John Ritter 08-14-2007, 07:01 PM I liked Cindy even though Chrissy was my favorite blonde. She was funny when she beat up poor Jack, LOL.
Skywalker 08-14-2007, 08:45 PM I thought Cindy was ok. She was my least favorite roommate, but I thought her scenes with Jack were pretty funny and she had one of the funniest lines ever on the show in the episode "Dying to Meet You" when Janet and Cindy are talking about Jack's heart, and she says "God forgot to wind it".

I love that line  It's even funnier when Terry Kiser repeats it.

Yeah, he was hilarious in that episode, especially when he broke down Larry's door.
Chain Gang Member 08-20-2007, 05:21 PM yeah!

Same here.Terri's my favorite....especially when she's in that sexy nurse uniform(the white one not the pink one)
brasspounder 08-22-2007, 09:33 PM I like Cindy, always did. She was attractive and sweet. Seems she would be a nice gal to hang around with.
Scoobiedoo30 08-23-2007, 01:51 AM I like Cindy on Three's Company
SlayerShel 08-25-2007, 01:40 PM I actually kind of like Cindy. She probably would have been better off if she had been cast as a new roommate as an individual and not as Chrissy's cousin. I agree with those who said that Chrissy was the best, but I do not think Cindy was bad at all.
Gwendy 08-27-2007, 06:21 PM I always thought Cindy was funny. Like in that episode where Cindy becomes their maid and Jack is sitting on the couch with his date. Cindy comes tip toeing in and distracts them. And then later she starts vacuum cleaning right behind the couch.
Very funny!
Jinxey 09-04-2007, 10:39 AM Chrissy:One more word and I'm going to stick this umbrella up your pants and open it!
Janet and Chrissy to Jack after attempting to make dinner with the animal brains Jack provided..
Janet:Besides, I've never had sweet breads before.
Chrissy:And I've never had brains!
What season/episode were these lines said???
BeatleMoe 09-06-2007, 10:59 AM I liked all incarnations of Three's Company, and seasons 3-6 I feel were the strongest seasons. Chrissy was the dumb blonde, Terri was the smart one, and I believe that Cindy was a balance of both. I could see Chrissy saying some of Cindy's lines, especially the scene in Dying to Meet You "God forgot to wind it." Even the wistwatch could have been uttered by Chrissy.
I do believe that Cindy should have stayed on the show, because the roommates would have a female friend, just like Larry was the male friend. Plus, it keeps the Snow connection on there, like a hint from the past. The funny thing is, the Snow last name is never mentioned again after season 5. Cindy went to a no last name basis like Larry. IMO, Cindy added a fresh dynamic when cast, considering the circumstances. I enjoyed her character a lot.

:yeahthat Perfectly said!

Exactly, she just stepped into a role and did the job she was asked to do. At least she broght her own personality and didn't duplicate Chrissy.
comedyfreak 09-07-2007, 01:28 AM I liked Cindy and think they should have stayed with her. Because of her clumsiness she gave Jack his funniest moments. IE: the ironing board incident, funny as heck. Jenilee did a great job and I liked that she was different from Chrissy.
janet42 09-08-2007, 12:33 AM Cindy constantly bumping into Jack and causing him to trip over stuff got old with me real fast. But there were a few episodes of her that were good. Like "Father of the Bride", "Honest Jack Tripper", and "Jack to the Rescue". :)
GrandGame1440 10-05-2007, 01:07 AM You CANNOT forget "Double Trouble"! ;)
janet42 10-06-2007, 06:47 AM You CANNOT forget "Double Trouble"! ;)
I did not like that episode. It was way too silly and not believable. It made Mr. Furley look silly and not too bright in that one scene when Jack was being himself and his supposedly twin cousin in front of him.
bluthree 10-25-2007, 05:49 PM I liked Cindy.I thought was she was funny. And The Case of The Missing Blond was one of my Favorite episodes.I can uderstand why she never came back to visit again after Janet Wigs Out.Janet was cruel when she wore that nasty wig.
