It is comedy-variety special with different skits with special guest stars.

It is being released by a small company called Kultur. I doubt it would be at stores, so online, like Amazon, is the best place. It is very cheap for under$11 there, so click on the link above, and please buy. I have the special on tape and it is wonderful. Can't wait to see it on DVD!

I just bought mine today :) I have only seen a clip of this tv show on A&E so I am excited.

BUT I do kinda remember seeing this as a kid on tv.. I mean John Ritter when i was 10 years old was my comedy god & big brother.. I love his work, it was the first time any tv show ever touched me.

and to be honest still to this day!! I would say the only other tv show was Freaks & Geeks:D

Will this special have a local release or is it only available through Amazon? Anyone know? Amazon is great and all, but sometimes the shipping that is used damages the products. I once ordered a nice hardcover book on ABBA and the cover was torn in half! It's not Amazon's fault but needless to say, I don't want damaged merchandise!

I have ordered it off of deepdicsountdvd.com. It has free shipping and the prices are cheaper then Amazon.com too!! I pre-ordered it the beginging of the month but i have not recieved it yet. Mine was shipped out on the 19th so i hope it is soon!!!

I didn't get mine. It was unavailable!! I sent them an e-mail and this is what they tell me it won't be avaliable till Dec 9Th..so i cancelled it and i'm gonna order it somwhere else where i can get it a lot faster. Maybe you should try writing an e-mail and see why it is taking so long to ship. In Entertainment Weely there is an article about the dvd. But is is bashing John Ritter!!1 Saying that this was a waste to release!!! It looks hilarious!! Anything with John is great! I never go by what crtics say. It doesn't mean a thing i am my own critic and eveyone is entitled to their own opinions. But there opinion sucks. John Ritter is a true legend and his soul with live with us forever!!!!

I got it, just as I said above. As for what I think of it, I don't think it's anything special. In all honesty, I was kind of disappointed. To me, the special was kind of pointless. The only thing of merit is the interaction of John with Joyce (and especially Suzanne, since she & John would no longer be speaking to each other less than a year later) behind the scenes. That alone makes it worth the price. But the skits I think are sub-standard. Sorry...

I just watched it and I have to say it was uneven. I would give it a (C+/ B) Grade

I hope they put more smaller project's John did on dvd:)

I received mine in the mail today and just got finished watching it. I didn't think it was all that bad. I was entertained for the most part and it was great seeing John in so many different roles. He is multi talented! I am sorry for those of you who are disappointed. I wasn't disappointed one bit!

Same here, JoshB80! I recieved mine as a Christmas gift and I loved it! I think my favorite was "Fear Itself". IMO, that one was very funny. I think John did an excellent job with this comedy special. :D
