For those of you slackers who missed the Emmy show....
David Hyde Pierce: It's not the way I would have gone, but, ok. Congratulations to Sean and Brad and Peter and the ferociously talented Jeffrey. (after a series of "uh's") Thank you to everyone at Frasier. Eleven years I was lucky enough to be a part of that group and in sitcom school they tell you how great it is to have a long-running show, but they don't tell you how hard it is to say goodbye. And to everyone - all the writers, all the crew, everyone - I miss you. I love you. They say that television and comedy in television is changing, and I just want to say when it changes back, call me.
Kelsey Grammer: Wow. I'd like to take a minute to pay my respects to John Ritter and his family. He was a terrific guy and his death was a shock to all of us. And he'll be missed - not only just for his kindness but for his work. I'm blown away by this - I want to say everything Sarah Jessica Parker said - especially to a passerby. And - no one else could have gotten away with that. Anyway, I have the most extraordinary life, I had the most extraordinary life on television. Frasier was a gift in my life and the people I got to meet and work with were the greatest gift and this is just the cherry on top. I love my wife, Camille - I love my new children - my latest gift in my life and - Gosh, this is a great way to end a series. Thank you very much. Bye.
