Why was it called The Cosby Show, if their last name was Huxtable?

More than likely because Bill Cosby created the show like with the Mary Tyler Moore and the Dick Van Dyke show's, those aren't the character names.

I hope that makes sense

Because Bill Cosby is a WEIRDO. The title of the show should have been-"The Huxtable Family" or "The Huxtables"
