I was watching the Emmy Awards tonight, and they did a little segment of the last scenes of series finales of memorable shows. It started with the final scene of Cheers and then had clips of other shows, including Friends, The Practice, Family Ties, Roseanne, Sex and the City, The Wonder Years, Murphy Brown, Just Shoot Me, etc, and ended with the final scene of Frasier. I enjoyed the little Cheers nod, and I thought it was cool that it started with Cheers and ended with Frasier, kind of like bookends. ;)

I'm so glad they won! And since Fraiser wasn't nominated for comedy series, I'm glad Arrested Development won.

That was a really great EMMYS show! I'm SO glad I taped it!!! And I got all the intervews from the past - dress rehearals, Kelsey warming up the audience... *sigh* I'll have to watch that tape again tonight!

Well, since you're an online buddy, I'll do it for free... I'm always trading with people - but if you ever have interviews that I don't have...:D

I don't have those yet - well, I used to have "Analyzing the Laughter" but then I dropped my tape on my tile floor and it busted - go figure!

I'm kicking myself for not taping the cast on all the talk shows and Entertainment Tonight - *sigh*

I'll PM you!

They really seemed to rush this show. Everybody with the exception of Al Pacino only had like two minutes to give their acceptance speeches.

Am I the only one that was galled by barwars' HORRIFIC verb tense?
Does no one here care?!?

Am I the only one that has concern for the English speaking youth?

Shame on you ALL!

I was very excited to see both Cheers and Family Ties included in the series finales segment.

Yes, that was a wonderful tribute to the GREAT Emmy winning shows! It was cool how it started out with Cheers and ended with Frasier. *misty eyed*
