View Full Version : Tim Daly is at the Emmy Awards
Krista2882 09-19-2004, 08:42 PM i was just watching the Emmy awards for a second (I was not going to watch at all because I'm ticked off that no one from "Gilmore Girls" was nominated, and they really deserve awards), but anyway, I saw the "best supporting actress" catergory, and Tyne Daly was nominated, and when they showed her in the audience, Tim was sitting next to her. I was like, "YAY! TIM DALY!!" hahahaha
just thought I'd share.

Yes, I saw him there too, and it was nice to see that he wasn't there because he was trying to win an Emmy (although it would be nice if he DID)....He was there supporting his sister who WAS nominated....Good for him!
aNaHiD DaLy PeRRy 09-21-2004, 11:46 PM I saw his too... He looked so great... :happyface
I saw his two times, with him sister. :p
Krista2882 09-24-2004, 12:18 AM Yeah, I think that's awesome that he went to the awards show with his sister!
I love when you see siblings that get along so well.
I always appreciate that because me and my brother are best friends, and I always feel bad for people who don't get along with their siblings!
One of my favorite things about "Wings" is the relationship between Joe and Brian. They're brothers AND best friends.
oh, it was funny, when we were watching the Emmy awards, my mom goes, "Whoa! Is Tim Daly Tyne Daly's son??!" and I was like, "What? No! He's her brother!! She's like 12 years older than him, or something" and she was like, "Really?! Oh cool!" and my dad was like, "Who's Tim Daly?"
hahaha!

I've said this before, but I think that two of the most believable "sibling" relationships in TV sitcoms were the Hackett brothers on "Wings" and the Crane brothers on "Frasier".
Siblings like Helen and Casey on "Wings" and Roseanne and Jackie on "Roseanne" may have been funny, but they were never quite as believable as siblings as the Hackett and Crane brothers were.
wondergirl9847 09-24-2004, 02:59 PM I was looking at Emmy pics that night online and it listed Tim as Tyne's son! I was like, WHAT?! No, brother, people, brother!! LOL
The man is still smokin' hot. ;)
Mostly because of the accent thing, Helen and Casey were hard to believe as sisters. I mean, Helen lived in Nantucket since what, 10, and her Texas accent was very much alive, while Casey had zero Texas accent. LOL Ah well, she must have tried REALLY hard to get rid of it.
nantucket_wings 10-30-2004, 10:55 AM I seen him too, you wouldnt ... he's such a sweetie, ;)
nantucket_wings 10-30-2004, 10:58 AM Get with the program Dad,

phoebe7165 10-31-2004, 06:17 PM I guess nobody else realized that there were actually 3!! Wings cast members at the Emmys. In addition to Tim, Amy Yasbeck & Tony Shaloub were also in the audience. John Ritter was nominated for best actor in a comedy and I guess she was there to accept the award if he won. Instead, Kelsey Grammar won, and he did mention John in his speech and the camera zoomed in on Amy. Tony, of course, was also nominated for best actor in a comedy, and he was also a presenter.
Krista2882 11-03-2004, 12:42 AM I knew Amy and Tony were going to be there, but I totally didn't expect Tim to be there. So it was weird when they randomly showed him in the audience.
