On IMDb.com I went to the Good Times trivia section and said Jay Leno and David Letterman were both writers on the show at one time!

That's something.

jay leno was in the VD episode.

they should show a clip of that on the tonight show! wonder why no guest has tried to embarrass him with that? he loves to bring out old pictures and movies from other celebrities. that would be a riot!

I remember that episode, Jay really looked scruffy, nothing like the clean-cut appearance he has nowadays. Also, if I'm not mistaken, both Jay and Dave at one point or another worked as writers for Jimmie Walker, which may explain why they may have worked on Good Times as well.

Maybe the show wanted him to look scruffy for that episode. And when you have your own talk show, you have to look good.
