"pals ?!?!?!??"

dave says he knows madie. they compete over the issue of who knows who better.
a man is blown to bits, his "wife" commits suicide. the real criminal holds them at gunpoint and they start a pillow fight with him. he gets away on a bicycycle. they chase him on a bike until they crash. maddie ends up getting a motorcycle guy to chase the bad guy for her as she goes for the ride. he gets caught.
dave and maddie are out next, out together as they made plans earlier in the episode.

she looked great in that dress at the end. at least they did get their relationship problems discussed a bit.

rating: 5

This is one of my top two of the 5th season. (The other one is 'Take My Wife For Example'.) I like the discussion about how well David knows Maddie. As usual, Maddie is in denial about her feelings for David. She knows they're not 'pals' just as well as he does. There's also the funny scene in the car where David tries to guess how many men Maddie has been 'intimate' with. I love the conversation while they're sitting on the couch in the front office of Blue Moon.

Maddie: You're just as confused about 'us' as I am.
David: As far as I'm concerned, there isn't anything confusing about 'us'. 'Us' banters and 'us' solves cases and 'us' used to do it a lot more than 'us' is doing it now.

That pretty much sums it up.

I liked this episode. It's one of my favorites from the 5th season.
It reminded me of the very early episodes.

But now they were so at ease with each other. It's like they really liked each other again. They bantered, flirted, and I finally thought the show was on the right track! I was wrong but I still had great hope at that time that my favorite show was finally returning to its niche.

I liked the pool hall scene - and Honky Tonk Woman playing in the background was an added bonus.

Final scene - oooooh Bruce in a tux and Cyb in a gown -- love it, love it, love it. Pool and Cybill seem to go hand in hand.:happyface

As she said she knows how to handle a "stick"......

Liked this one too, especially the couch scene, what a bummer that Maddie picks up the phone when they're on their way to get dinner together!!
Didn't like the bicycle chase, too slapstick...
They know eachother very well.

I forgot about the bicycle chase. The best line was Maddie saying "I know for a fact you can pump harder when you want to."

I wonder how she knows that! Naughty but funny! ;)

Yeah that WAS a funny line......
Does that mean she asked him before to pump harder?

Don't have much time to post....but will make a few comments.

Loved:
the final scene in the pool hall
the early scene in the pool hall

Disliked:
the chase

This episode seemed misplaced in that it had more of any early 2nd season feel to it in regards to M&D's opinions and relationship. David's behavior...very late 1st season & early 2nd season..... Maddie's reactions to him.....some seemed 5th season but others seemed very early 2nd season to me as well.

I just watched this episode and I LMAO because of the last scene:D

That was sooo funny:D

The chasescene was a bit weird but also got me laughing. I loved it when Maddie and David fell in the cement. They always leave a good impression;)

Well, gotta go again!

See ya
