(Reading the Newspaper). I dont know what it is but i can't seem to go through the paper like i want to when reading it on the web. When it's in your hand I can flip through page to page and section to section. It's Not that easy on the web. So that's about the only thing I hate doing on the web.

I read newpaper articles all the time on the web but I don't click into my local paper and try to read it like a newspapaper. That just doesn't work. If that is what you mean, then I agree. Online is no substitute for casually flipping through the paper. That is a joy that the internet will never accomplish.

I don't like shopping on the internet. I like to see who I'm handing my money to.

Yeah i think it's good if you are going to read one article. But to read the entire is nerve racking-lol

The internet is for purchaes like CD's, DVD's, Books, or VHS Tapes. Defintly not for buying clothes-LOL I know some people who do that.

I don't like to shop online, either. I'll go to HMV.com to find out the price of a CD or DVD sometimes before I go out to buy it, but I prefer actually going to a store to purchase things. I'll read one online newsletter on the internet called The Scientist which I get through my email. But, as for ordering online or reading a Leader Post, I prefer to read it while holding it in my hands. Do people actually buy clothes online? That's one thing I definetely wouldn't ever want to do. I like to go to a store and try things on before I buy them. Some jeans are sized either by length or waistline and I always never know what size I am when I'm looking at jeans that have that 29x30 or 28x30 length for the pantleg. It's worse when I'm looking for a swimsuit. I went to Sears last summer to find one and didn't end up getting one because the prices were too high for me and I couldn't understand the stupid extra extra small and other stuff for the sizes. Anyway, yeah, the internet sucks for shopping.

I don't like reading the paper online. They format it differently than the actual newspaper and it's hard to find some of the articles. I do like that they update it through the day with breaking news.

I read no newspapers anymore but I did all my life. And many newspapers are going under. I get plenty of news from the net and my great radio. My 94 yr old neighbor still gets the LA Times and she was Never on a computer. And many older people never were.

Agreed !! I would never subscribe to the newspaper online ,I like the old fashioned paper newspaper much better ! Same as books ! I love to read but I would never do kindle, I love having an actual book in my hand and turn the pages when I read, not look at an electronic device !;)

Love my Kindle. I can carry around so many books in one little device, so much convenience, especially for traveling. I don't have to haul around a bunch of books. Love being able to bring up a book to read, sometimes just to read a quick short story if I happen to be waiting somewhere, or at work. Plus, I've been able to find books on Kindle that are impossible to find a physical copy.

Still buy and read regular books too.

Love my Kindle. I can carry around so many books in one little device, so much convenience, especially for traveling. I don't have to haul around a bunch of books. Love being able to bring up a book to read, sometimes just to read a quick short story if I happen to be waiting somewhere, or at work. I'm old fashioned but I see your point of the convenience , but not for this old gal !!! :D:wave:
