View Full Version : Questionable Fashion

Over the past couple of years there have been some really odd fashions that have come into style. I'm not a fashion expert or anything, but some of the fashions that are all the rage today are sort of stupid. My town recently had a beauty contest for girls ages 18-21, and the girls were all dressed in really nice dresses and skirts, and had their hair and make up done very nicely. However, all of the girls were wearing flip flops. For me that just looks silly. Why wear a really nice dress or skirt with flip flops, it just does not look right. What are some popular styles that you find unattractive if not down right ugly?

Well, not exactly a fashion statement but I can't stand when girls where pants that are really low and then have their thong hanging out. It's so gross. No one needs to see that. It seems to be THE thing in my school and it's so ridiculous.

I hate when girls wear big baggy shirts and pants that look like they're made for boys. To me that is so stupid. The other thing I hate is when people tell you to dress up and people show up in jeans. Everywhere I go, chuch, funerals, weddings, people are wearing casual clothes and it bothers the hell out of me! For our school chorus concert we had a certain dress code to follow- Girls: White blouse, black dress pants, dress shoes- Boys: White dress shirt, black dress pants, dress shoes, and a nice tie. Well, a lot of the girls in my class didn't know what a blouse was. The guys were bitching about having to wear ties. What's so wrong with ties? People use to wear them all the time before it became hip to look like a slob.ohno:

I hate that stupid flip-flop trend. Everyone's wearing them with jeans and it and annoys me. How the **** do they walk up stairs anyway without them falling off? I refuse to wear shoes or sandals to school. Tards.

Hmm, also them stupid headband things girls wear around their heads, usually for a sports thing. They're starting to fade away but I still see them around a little and they annoy me.

Flip Flops are all the rage here in Southern California; but that style of shoe wear has been in fashion for many many years; and girls wear them with everything, including skirts and dresses.

Why do some chicks where white stockings? Isn't the purpose of stockings to make legs look tanned? White stockings make legs look pale and ashy!

And why do some grown ass women wear pink clothes with flowers printed on it? Pink and flowers are cute on little girls, but on grown ass women they look ridiculous!

Sports Jerseys are another ridiculous fashion. I can see kids wearing them, but if you're over 25 you look ridiculous.

like half of the girls at my school have ugly purses with lowercase times new roman initials on them. they don't look attractive AT ALL. especially b, j, k, etc. mine would look like: s it looks stupid.

I really don't care for any of the clothes kids wear today. Half of them have no sense of style. I was looking through my nephews High School yearbook a couple months ago and noticed that most of the guys in the senior class didn't even have a jacket and tie on for their senior pic. They mostly just had on hoodies or other everyday clothes. My parents would never have let my brothers get away with dressing like that for what is supposed to be a formal portrait, not to mentoin an expensive one.

Wearing flip-flops when you're in nice skirts or slacks or a dress just disgusts me...it's totally fine if you're in a tank top and jeans, no one wears more flip flops in casual-wear than me, but in a prom-like dress or something? Seriously. Also, the bad Louis Vuitton handbag rip-offs are badly done, yet overly-bought in my opinion. Most of the girls in my high school have a fake LV handbag, and claim it's real, and they paid $10,000 for it. Sure, paying $10,000 for a handbag and yet I see you in J.C. Penny clothes? Unbelievable. Anyway, why spend that much for a handbag? In my opinion, Coach and Dooney and Bourke make just as quality of handbags, and for less than half the full amount of Louis Vuitton.

Why the hell do girls wear sweats or shorts, and then roll over the wasteline so the tag is sticking out?! Its like theyre trying to make them shorter and low-rise.

And I love flip flops <3

Flip flops are not shoes.

They should never be seen anywhere outside the beach, the pool, or your apartment when you walk from the shower to your bedroom.

You can buy them at the supermarket for crying out loud.
They are not shoes.

;)

LOL! It's sad but true. I work at a grocery store, part time, and yes they do sell flip flops there. I can't wear them for some reason anyway. It irritates my toes and it's not comfortable for me.

My cousin wore flip flops to my great grandma's funeral with a skirt. I guess I'm old school...that's not dressed up. No, heels aren't real comfy, but at least they look dressy. But she's 15...what can you expect?

Is there something wrong with simply saying "grown women"?
