The first season theme was dropped for syndication. Does anyone have a first season episode off 16mm that still has the theme song intact?

Does anyone have a first season episode off 16mm that still has the theme song intact? I'm kind of surprised that they used the 2nd season credits(with the instrumental of Seattle) of Here Come The Brides instead of hearing the 1st season credits with the theme "Seattle" sung. I know that Perry Como had the hit version of Seattle back in 1968,but who sang the song on the show??? The last time I saw Here Come The Brides was on CBN and it has been nearly 15 years since I saw it. Hopefully the first season will come out on DVD one of these days. bencasey 09-25-2005, 06:28 PM The theme on the show was sung by a group called The New Establishment. Their version appears as a b-side to one of their singles as well as on one of the volumes of TV's Greatest Hits. Replacing the opens and putting one opening on all syndicated prints was commonly done by Columbia/Screen Gems. Other shows this was done with include The Flintstones, The Monkees and The Partridge Family. Well, good luck in your search and let me know if you find that vocal recording. |
