I like that episode too.

It's great to see a character like Radar, who is always kind and affable, express anger and emotion, especially towards his good friend Hawkeye.

Tension between characters is par for the course in dramas, but seeing sitcom characters display anger toward one another is very rare.

Even though Hawkeye did go overboard in chewing out Radar, Radar started it all with his foot-in-mouth comments towards Hawk.

.....in post-op during the chewing-out scene: "Don't you know how much this place stinks?...I hate this place....And if I can't stand up to it to your satisfaction, then-then the h**l with you.

"How dare you! The h**l with your Iowa naivete, and the h**l with your her worship, and your teddy bear, and while I'm at it the h**l with you. Why don't you grow up for cryin' out loud. I'm not here for you to admire, I'm here to poke bodies out of a sausage grinder. If ossible without going crazy. Period.

"Come on, cut it out....stop it, will ya?...you ninny."

I can't stand that episode.

It was like a preview of the final, Radar-less seasons, in which the Sit became more important than the Com.

Now, granted, MASH was still a pretty good whow in the final years, but it was like Alan Alda's personal soapbox every time you saw his name in the credits for something other than acting... and this episode was the first hint of what was to come.

But, that's just my opinion.

I liked this ep, cause it was a true study of friendships and how they sometimes change.
