Hi everyone. I've been reading through many of the posts here and I've gotten the feeling that most of you are quite young and have become fans of Three's Company through repeats. I get the feeling that you know them more by VCR tapes (i.e. you discuss them according to episode number and title).

Are there any others here who are original Three's Company fans? Am I the only "old" one around here? http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

I too am an original TC fan. I grew up watching it every Tuesday night. I was just crushed when the last episode aired originally. I also had a guy in my seventh grade class who would act out the part of Jack and he would pretend to rip my clothes and quote lines from the show the day after. He was the only one I ever knew as crazy about the show as I was. I wrote the cast but never got a response as a child. I even called up the airport to see how much tickets cost to fly out to see the show. I never could afford it. I sort of lost interest in the reruns until this year after reading the book by Chris Mann. Now I am a TC fanatic all over again. By the way, I am 30 years old. How old are you? Most of the ones on this particular message board are younger. Try posting on the yahoo message board for TC. It is mostly an older crowd.

actually I saw from the first episode live, but really only remember really the Cindy Terri ones.

I can remember certain ones live!

* ATM with Jack
* the new couch
* terri first episode
* jack & furley lock in freezer

I am 30 years old... so I think I was 6 years old in 1977 (right?).. well something like that.. I know I was like in 3rd - 4th grade when I really remember it

I am an original TC fan! In fact, I saw the very first episode on March 15, 1977, at the age of 15 and 1/2. I forgot which message board I mentioned this on, but again, on that night (March 15), I was switching channels looking for something to watch and saw the scene with Jack waking up in a bathtub. To show how long ago this was, my T.V. was a black and white set! I gave the series a try and liked it very much. It was also popular with most of my friends. I tuned in every week. Incidentally, what a great line-up ABC had in the fall of 1978!... In order, from 8:00 to 11:00 PM, Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, Three's Company, Taxi, and Starsky & Hutch. (This is from memory.) ABC owned Tuesday nights! I will never forget Tuesday night's prime time ABC. BTW, I am 39 but will be 40 later this month.

(P.S. It was very disappointing to see Chrissy leave.)

Hi there! Oh I'm glad there are others who remember the series from the originals. I was about 5 when it started, but I watched it every week. My father thought I was a bit young but I couldn't understand the adult inuendos anyway and the physical comedy was great! We too had a black and white tv. We didn't have a colour tv until I was about 11. Boy, sometimes I miss those days when there were only 10 channels to choose from and everyone wore the same colours!! LOL Remember those first converter boxes (those brown things that you push the buttons on?) - I thought that was a great luxury, a few of my friends' families had them. We got a converter box just before we got our colour tv. Boy was I surprised there were actually about 20 channels on Cable not 10! And now, 20 odd years later, there are how many? Hundreds?

I was old enough to start staying up for TC for its first run in prime time during the season when Cindy came on board. The following summer, ABC showed back-to-back episodes from the earlier seasons on their daytime schedule, so I was able to catch up pretty quickly.
