"Fox Family has acquired the exclusive rights to air the comedy "3rd Rock From the Sun," as well as the broadcast rights for the comedies "Step By Step," "Wonder Years," "Growing Pains" and "Family Matters.""

Since this deal has been made, does that mean that we won't be seeing DVD's anytime soon?
Sheesh! I'm willing to pay the money, why can't they just make the DVD's, for Pete's sake!?!?!
I know that it's not a horrendous outlay of money for the actual production of the DVD's - c'mon Fox Family! Burn 'em and sell 'em to me!

I actually did that. I found 1 season available for region 0 (which means it will play in the US) but it is in PAL format which does not play here.

Considering it's not Fox Family anymore, and they don't air Growing Pains anymore either, but I don't think it means we won't get DVDs, just probably not this year. I hope they release Growing Pains next year in time for the 20th anniversary of the show.

Well, it all depends on Carsey-Werner who have no means of official DVD distribution. They've licensed That 70's Show to Fox for DVD distribution and could with other shoes they own and produced such as The Cosby Show, Roseanne, A Different World, Grace Under Fire, and That 70's Show. It all depends on how well That 70's Show sells....... we might get the other shows on DVD if it all pans out right.
