I just rewatched my tape of episodes of The Bradys... and I'm thinking.... did they try and do a Soap Opera version of the Brady Bunch? I mean, it's soo bizarre.

I agree with you. It had too much of a soap opera feel to it. I would rather had seen something along the lines of the TV movie they did in 1988,"A Very Brady Christmas",and had it be a comedy-drama rather than being a drama.

... wouldn't that be funny if The Bradys actually succeded in becoming a soap opera? Think of the storylines that could've evolved... Mike Brady turning gay!

Well, i wouldn't go that far...

You gotta give then credit for trying to take a popular sitcom and update it with a dramatic theme. I doubt it will ever be tried again.

Moslty because it failed miserably.

The reason it failed was because of the time slot.... not because it was a drama or existed without the comedy.... it was because it was 8 o'clock... it should've been on at 9 or 10... 8 o'clock is what killed it.
