I did. They were pretty good, but the first half hour had a sitcom staple regarding series finales: A return to how it used to be when Mr. Wick bullied his way into becoming store manager.

View Full Version : Did anyone watch the finale shows last night? Ohio8 09-09-2004, 02:05 PM I did. They were pretty good, but the first half hour had a sitcom staple regarding series finales: A return to how it used to be when Mr. Wick bullied his way into becoming store manager. JD2635 09-09-2004, 04:15 PM Yes. They ended this show off like what the Hollywood Squares also ended off with! A BIG BANG. From H2's final episode 6/4/04 "These are the people who brought you Hollywood Squares for the past 6 seasons from all of us to all of you, That's a wrap. Bye everybody!" For Drew, They re-did the pilot episode with Drew playing pool and played the clips of fand signing autographs. What a way to end the series on don't you think?! Drew Carey Show (1995-2004) The memories will live on forever! Thanks Drew!:D barwars 09-09-2004, 04:35 PM I prefered the first episode over the actual finale.... it was a much better fit for an ending. They should've had the baby born/Drew get married in the first episode of the night, and then go back to the old job in the second episode. I loved the scene where the camera just panned out as Drew and Mimi sit there in the old desks miserably. hilarious. GeorgeJefferson 09-09-2004, 10:45 PM The ending to the last night's first episode would have been better suited as the show's final scene, since it is like Drew has come full circle since the premiere episode 9 years ago. I also think Kate should have been broughten back since she seemed to have a more significant impact on the show, as opposed to her dull replacement, Kellie. But, at least this show, which was once both smart and funny, has been given some sort of closure. |
