Does anyone recall this story from the first season? Mr. Cain was a 62 year old African American man who worked for the Department of Parks and Recreation in Kansas. He vanished in 1985, and his family believed he had amnesia. The story aired in 1988 (?). I don't think this case has been shown on Lifetime. Does anyone have any more details?
Thanks,
Justin

Hey! I really don't know anymore details, but could his name be Rogest Cain? I found a missing profile of a man with that name, who looks like the man in question who was 61 when he went missing on 2-18-86 from his home in LA. Here is his profile:

That's the same man, I didn't have the spelling of his first name correct. He may have been originally from Kansas, but he disappeared from his home in LA. I think they had his date missing as 02/25/86 in the segment. There was a further update in the segment as somebody had recognized him as Elmer Jackson the night after the broadcast, but then he disappeared again.

Is this the same case where they found the man's car and it appeared he had tried to write a relative's phone number down, but couldn't remember the entire thing? If so, then yes he was spotted by viewers, but by the time the authorities were able to respond he was gone again. He had been given the name Elmer Jackson by a truck driver who picked him up. It seems strange that the truck driver would not have contacted the authorities if he picked him up someone who couldn't remember their name. Based on the doenetwork page, he has never been found. I remember this case well.
