Smart to stay where they are now
Brandy-Refocusing on music carrear, can do film or TV whenever she wants
Kelly Ripa-unless Regis signed on as a villian, then it'd be interesting!
Molly Sims ("Las Vegas")-She should keep this in mind; "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas"
Nikki Cox ("Las Vegas")-see above
Vanessa Marcil ("Las Vegas")-see above
Marsha Thompson ("Las Vegas")-see above
Liv Tyler ("The Lord of the Rings")-Too whispery
Kirsten Dunst (Spider-Man 2)-I doubt James Bond can compete with a well-hung spider
Jennifer Garner-She'll have it made in film & TV if "Alias" & "Elektra" do well, a rare combination
Allison Hannigan ("American Pie" "Buffy the Vampire Slayer")-Too mousy, she'll get a tv series of her own soon

Long shots
Tyra Banks-Exotic, yes. Bond girl? Maybe
Alyssa Milano ("Charmed")-Probably missed her chance, perhaps she's too "Charmed" to be with Bond?
Jamie-Lynn Discala ("The Sopranos")-Tony Soprano's daughter with James Bond? Fuggedabodit!
Britney Spears-Uncertain film future at best
Parminder Nagra ("ER")-unknown & exotic, qualities that could work to her advantage
Kate Bosworth ("Blue Crush")-might be tired of supporting roles, ready to move up
Keira Knightley-Commited to more "Pirates.." films, ready for starring roles.
Eliza Dushku ("Tru Calling")-Pretty but too collegiate
Alicia Witt ("Cybil" & "Urban Legend")- Also too collegiate
Jeri Ryan ("Star Trek: Voyager")-7 of 9 and 007? Might work.
Ashanti-Largely unknown outside of music world, might be confused with Beyonce' Knowles though

Unlikely
Leah Remini ("The King of Queens")-A Bond girl with a "Noo-Yawk" accent? I don't think so!
Carmen Electra-Austin Powers is more likely to call before James Bond does
Beyonce' Knowles-especially unlikely since she was in last Austin Powers film
Jessica Biel ("7th Heaven")-Ready for more substantial film roles
Kylie Minogue-Too short, Largely unknown outside of Australia
Amanda Bynes ("What I Like About You")-Breakout film role for her is imminent
Rose McGowan ("Charmed")-too gothic
Naomi Watts ("The Ring")-Too high profile, doesn't need to do a part like this
Natalie Portman-probably committed to more serious dramas, like the "Star Wars" films
Allison Sweeney ("Days of Our Lives")-Too closely identified with TV character to be believable
Brittany Murphy-iffy film record so far
Faith Hill-Too soccer Mom-ish, she can do better
Lacey Chabert ("Party of Five" & "Mean Girls")-Not with that voice!
Katie Holmes-Seems too smart to get involved in Bond-like predicaments
Christina Aguilera-hasn't shown interest in film roles yet
Sarah Michelle Gellar("Buffy the Vampire Slayer")-wouldn't a Bond girl be a step down for her?
Peta Wilson ("La Femme Nikita")-see Sarah Michelle Gellar
Shannon Elizabeth ("American Pie 1&2")-Remember the Bond girls that made your eyes roll in disbelief at how bad they were?

Kate Beckinsdale ("Underworld", "Van Helsing")-Has already been on both sides of action film spectrum
Laura Prepon ("That 70's Show")-Too sarcastic
Mandy Moore-See Katie Holmes
Catherine Bell ("J.A.G.")-See Katie Holmes
Anna Kournikova-stay on the tennis court
Eva Hertzigova-Quick! How many supermodels have made it as actresses?
Giselle Bundchen-Does she even have a speaking voice?
Natalie Imbruglia-Maybe 4 years ago but not now, Better known in her native country than here
Lucy Liu ("Charlie's Angels")-too scary
Drew Barrymore ("Charlie's Angels")-too flaky
Penelope Cruz ("Vanilla Sky", "Gothika")-Too Spanish, soon to be seen in the Bond-like "Sahara"
Linda Cardellini ("ER")-From Scooby-Doo girl to Bond girl? I don't think so!

Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda been a Bond girl
Catherine Zeta-Jones,
Julie Christie
Samantha Fox,
Farrah Fawcett
Elizabeth Hurley
Sharon Stone
Teri Hatcher
Jacqueline Bissett
Cindy Crawford
Claudia Schiffer
Angelina Jolie
Ann-Margaret
Pamela Anderson
Kim Cattrall
Heather Locklear
Madonna,
Charlize Theron
Raquel Welch
Jennifer Lopez
Diane Lane
Salma Hayek,
Nicole Kidman,
Ashley Judd
Pam Grier
Cameron Diaz,
Jenny McCarthy
Vanessa Williams
Kristin Davis
Michelle Pfieffer
Janine Turner
Kelly Preston
Uma Thurman
Joanne Whalley-Kilmer
Dana Delaney
Bridget Fonda
Demi Moore
Lisa Rinna
Genie Francis

Maybe in a few years
Ashlee Simpson-unless her sister does it first
Hilary Duff ("Lizzie McGuire")-Could Agent James Bond compete with "Agent Cody Banks"?
Lindsey Lohan ("Mean Girls")-Certainly has the looks but see Katie Holmes anyway
Amber Tamblyn ("Joan of Arcadia")-Too angst-ridden

No way
Reese Witherspoon
Sarah Jessica Parker
Shannen Doherty
Heather Graham
Pink,
Julia Roberts
Kate Hudson
Paris Hilton
Nicole Richie
Winona Ryder
Mary-Kate and/or Ashley Olsen
Jennifer Aniston
Neve Campbell
Lucy Lawless
Julia Stiles
Leelee Sobieski
Christina Applegate,
Kate Winslett
Anybody from Survivor, Bachelor, Fear Factor, etc.

Wild Cards
Rebecca Romijn-Stamos ("X-Men")-unless there's an X-Men 3
Mila Kunis ("That 70's Show")-Exotic enough for Bond?
Jordan Ladd ("Cabin Fever")-Right now her Mom is better known than she is
Alison Eastwood-Do you feel lucky…Mr. Bond?
Brittany Snow ("American Dreams")-Too schoolgirl-ish
Mischa Barton ("The O.C.")-Too thin?
Lauren Woodland ("The Young and the Restless")-too short?

Ready for "Bond-age"
Jennifer Love Hewitt
Jessica Simpson
Sharon Case ("The Young and the Restless")
Jessica Alba ("Dark Angel")-more of a long shot now that "Fantastic 4" & "Sin City are in production
Tara Reid ("American Pie 1&2")-But hasn't she played the victim in one too many films already?

One thing to remember, being chosen as the next "Bond girl" isn't always a gaurantee of film icon status. For every Ursula Andress ("Dr. No"), Honor Blackman ("Goldfinger") or Halle Berry ("Die Another Day") whose carrears were either advanced or made as a result of their Bond films, There's also others like Daniela Bianchi ("From Russia with Love") Tanya Roberts ("A View to a Kill"), and Maryam D'Abo ("The Living Daylights") who live on mostly as trivia questions with Bond-geeks. Like me.

I like you post. Very thoughtout and insightful.

But if I could add my two cents, I really think the next bond girl will definitely be Beyonce Knowles. I just have a feeling. I really hope I am wrong.

I depends on who the next James Bond is going to be.
If they go for a younger Bond, then a younger Bond gal would work better.
Putting Brosnan with some starlet half his age is a bit creepy.

I think the next Bond is gonna be Hugh Jackman. SO Vanessa Marcil or any of the ladies mentioned in this thread would be great with Hugh :D

According to today's IMDB, Dougray Scott is definatly almost probably going to be the next James Bond. They think.

I would take what IMDb says with a grain of salt ;) they are notorious for rumors.

Everthing I've seen Hugh Jackman is the person most wanted to play Bond :)

I think Catherine Zeta-Jones would make the perfect Bond girl. In my opinion, she's the most gorgeous woman in Hollywood. She also has that foreign mystique thing going on.
