Usually Seasonal DVD releases are a year apart. So if it came out in late-August, I'd say we'll see Season 2 in September of 2005, for the 41st anniversary. The one exception is The Dick Van Dyke Show. They came out with all 5 seasons in like one year. In the mean-time, sit back and enjoy Season 1.

Not necessarily it depends on the company. Colombia Tri Star is def. one company that is slow with relasing seasons sets.

Buena Vista is fast, they're relasing Boy Meets World 3 months apart, I think Buena Vista will do that with all the shows they release.

It just depends on how fast they want to release them, but yeah they might wait for the anniversary like Colombia Tri Star is supposed to be bringing out the Jeffersons Season 3, after over a year apart from the Season 2 release, and the Season 3 release will be in time for the 30th anniversary :)

I was hoping they'd try to get it out by Christmas, but I haven't heard anything from anybody about it. On the other hand, I did wait 40 years for the first season to come out. :( So, we'll have to just wait and see...

40 years? WOW! You probably remember the original commercials, too.

Surprisingly, I remember quite a few of them... :)

When you were watching The Munsters Second Season, did the music come to a stop in the center, or did it keep going like in the TV Land reruns?

TV Land cut out the breaks between the opening and the first act. I'd guess that doing so took about 30 seconds off the length of the episode. I'm also a little surprised they didn't take out the title screens from the first season episodes, beings there weren't any used in the second season episodes.

BTW: Speaking of the second season, Bonnie Vent, Butch Patrick's manager, posted on my Koach-Dragula Message Board (http://www.munsterkoach.com/board1_toc.htm) about it's release on DVD. Here's what she said: "The last date I heard was October 2005. Production is supposed to start in January. Dates always tend to change but this should give you a good idea. We have a verbal from Universal that Butch will be involved with season 2." If anybody would know, it'd probably be Butch. :D

Were the closing themes played completely or were they squished to one side of the screen like TV Land does?

The originals (and also the syndicated episodes) had the credits, both in the beginning and the end shown in their entirety. TV Land was the first to do that with them. It's to be able to advertise while the credits are playing.

I've also noticed on TNT, (I think it was,) my wife was watching a show and at the end the credits were pressed down to the bottom and the next show was starting at the top. Guess it saves time.

To me, the credits are there for a reason. To spotilight the people who put their efforts together to make this television program. They're only credit for it, is there.

Advertising is what pays to keep the shows on TV. They do what they have to do to survive. I don't blame them for doing it, but I don't have to like it that much.

Your photo from "Herman's Peace Offensive", where he's ripping up the steps....I haven't seen the episode in years because of it being banned. But, I remember why he's pulling apart the steps in a rage. He's trying to find where the paperboy threw the newspaper!
