I just wanted to see what kind of money Shelley Long's movies made. Here's what I came up with.

1. Night Shift- $4,938,147

2. The Money Pit- $7,889,444 million

3. Outrageous Fortune- $16,567,843

4. Hello Again- $20.4m

5. Troop Beverly Hills - $3,001,569m

6. The Brady Bunch Movie- $46,576,136m

7. A Very Brady Sequel- $21,440,752

I still find it very ironic that Shelley's only movie successes were about a TV show.

I was actually surprised that the Money Pit bombed the way it did. I found that to be a very funny movie.

It was definately her best non-Brady movie, IMO.

I've seen them all besides Outrageous Fortune and Hello Again.

Troop Beverly Hills deserves to be in last. It was so bad it was good.

I've seen them all. A Very Brady Sequel stunk. I didn't see the third Brady film that was a made for TV movie on FOX though.

I loved A Very Brady Sequel, it was her best movie IMO.

Mike's Boss: Who's Roy?

Mike: My wife's husband.

 It gets my every time.
Ohh god, the third Brady film. *shiver*
NEVER put Gary Cole and Shelley Long in the White House.
NEVER.

I didn't see the 3rd Brady movie.
But I liked the first and second ones.

Don't waste your time with Hello Again. I thought I liked it when I was younger, but this gut instinct told me something was wrong with it. When I rewatched it recently...I realized I should have followed that gut instinct.

As for TBH, "so bad it's good" is right. I love that movie.

Outrageous Fortune is a very funny movie. Shelley and Bette Midler were a great double act and worked well together. She was also in a great movie before Cheers called Losin' It with Tom Cruise.

Welcome!

I've never seen Losin' It...
but the problem I have with Outrageous Fortune is that she's basically playing Diane all over again.

Being the age I was when Shelley was on Cheers (-3 to 2 years old, lol) my first memories of her were in these movies. I had seen her in Troop Beverly Hills and that Disney Freaky Friday version (the second one or something) and some other places, and when they cast her in The Brady movies, I thought she was the PERFECT Carol Brady. Then when I found out she was on a TV show before all that, I was surprised! Now I think of her first and foremost as Diane. It's funny, because growing up she always kinda annoyed me (from the parts she played in these movies) but then I saw her on Cheers and I LOVE her. ;)

Haha I'm pretty much the same way.
